The Most Colorful Morning You Will Ever Have at 6:00 AM…read moreThere are not many things worth setting an alarm for at 5:00 in the morning. This is one of them. The Provo Freedom Festival Balloon Fest is a three day annual celebration of the Fourth of July held at Fox Field on Freedom Boulevard, and it is exactly the kind of event that reminds you why summer in Utah is something special. Pilots from across the country bring their balloons to the Wasatch foothills and what unfolds over those three days is one of the most visually spectacular community events in the state. Arrive early. We mean it. Getting there around 5:30 am puts you on the field while the crews are still inflating the balloons, and watching a seven story tall colossus slowly rise against the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains is something that does not have a good comparison. Sixty to eighty feet of color and fabric filling with air while the mountains glow in the early morning light is the kind of moment you reach for your camera and realize no photo will fully do it justice. Go anyway, take the pictures anyway. A tip for families: the crew members of each balloon are friendly and genuinely happy to talk. Ask them for their balloon card. Kids can collect a card from every balloon on the field and it turns the whole experience into an impromptu treasure hunt. Then come back for the glow event, which happens one night during the three day run and is worth rearranging your schedule for. The balloons stay grounded but are fully inflated and lit from within by their propane burners in sync with music. Watching these giants pulse and glow in the dark while the crowd gathers around them is a completely different experience from the morning flights and every bit as memorable. We grabbed a sugar waffle from the Waffle Love truck and wandered between the glowing balloons in the evening air, and it was the kind of night that sticks with you. A few practical notes before you go. This is a free event with no tickets required, which makes it even more remarkable for what it delivers. Parking is the one challenge. Neighboring businesses offer paid parking for around ten dollars, which is worth it if you want convenience. If you prefer free, arrive early and look for the field parking behind the hospital. Come late and you will be walking. Full marks. Some experiences justify every star and then some. Put it on the calendar now for next July.

He then offered me $500 back with no clear explanation why. There was also what felt like complicity with the other law firm because of the inaccurate legal information I was given. (Jacob Gunter) gave inconsistent advice, made too many assumptions, and later denied things that were previously said. This created confusion and a serious lack of trust. I recorded all conversations, so I would advise others to be cautious and ask for clear explanations in writing whenever possible. If you're looking for a lawyer who gives poor advice, makes assumptions about your employment even after reviewing your pay stubs and work history, and questions what you do for work simply because you drive a nice car, then this was my experience. As my lawyer, making comments like, "Do you drive Uber or work for someone?" instead of reviewing the actual facts felt unprofessional and discriminatory.

I don't write reviews lightly, but my experience with Fillmore Spencer was deeply disappointing…read more My wife and I cared for my grandfather in his home for over a decade. During a critical court case involving his situation, the firm failed to appear at the scheduled hearing. I had to call the attorney myself to ask where they were. When they finally arrived, they were completely unprepared. As a result of how the case was handled, my grandfather was ultimately forced to leave his home and move into a retirement facility, where he later passed away. Although Randy later took over the matter and refunded our payment, the damage had already been done. I also retained the firm for a separate criminal matter. I was advised to plead no contest and was told that after five years the record could simply be expunged. When the time came to pursue expungement, I was told they would contact the city prosecutor. Months passed with no updates. My emails went unanswered, and my calls were not returned. Eventually, the attorney handling my case left the firm and apparently did not transfer any meaningful information. Afterward, I was charged again to continue the expungement process, only to be told a week later that there was nothing they could do. No meaningful follow-up was made, and even a simple call to the prosecutor's office was declined. While they offered to refund the second charge, that does not compensate for the wasted time, lack of communication, or the consequences of the legal advice I was given regarding the plea. In both matters, I experienced poor communication, lack of preparation, and a failure to follow through. I cannot recommend this firm based on my experience.

He was very responsive, asked the right questions, and kept things moving. He sent a strong letter to the insurer with citations to Utah law and made it clear he was prepared to file a complaint. Almost immediately after that, the insurance company changed their position and covered us. Randy was efficient and mindful about keeping his billable hours down, and he genuinely focused on making sure we were treated fairly. I'm very grateful for his help and would recommend him without hesitation.

I have been sick with the stomach flu and the two of us were doing homework and watching tv. We were very fearful of the angry pounding at the door and a lack of identification of who was doing it. Just to add, our apartment door does not have a peephole or anyway to see who is at our door. We are two college girls and do not feel comfortable opening the door for a man who did not identify himself and when we asked who it was only said "security." The man then was extremely rude to my roommate who told him she was timid to open the door due to being scared. He then told her "to stop playing dumb" and told us we were "giggling, playing music, and shushing people in the room." 1. we did not giggle we were dead silent in fear of the aggressive pounding. 2. there was no music playing at all. 3. it was just the two of us in the apartment. I told my parents I was uncomfortable with the interaction and they called to which Scott was extremely rude to my father. Also, we do not have to open our door for hired security and we definitely won't be opening the door for anyone with this company ever again. For any future issues I will be involving REAL law enforcement.
