They are known for their luxemburgerli but it was during the heat wave when we went and it was so hot that I wasn't in the mood for anything too sugary so I didn't get any to try which I really regret and would love to try them out next time I'm in town. Service was quite slow. We waited for over 15mins before we were seated even though there's tables available. And no one came to acknowledge us during that time as well. Next time when I return, I would probably opt to just pick up some luxemburgerli to go unless you're very tired and just want to find a place to sit down and rest.

The store's shelves were filled with freshly baked breads and pastries. I wanted to taste everything there, if possible. The cafe was very cozy, and clean. There were outdoor seatings to relax in shades, if the weather was nice. The location is very convenient for train riders as it's across the train station, and car drivers with enough parking spaces. I saw many customers come and go, to buy the goods or sit down for coffee and pastry. The locals must know how good this place is. I really liked the atmosphere and highly recommend to visit this place to experience what I am talking about.

I asked for the most popular flavor and the staff said "Oh, that's a difficult question". Ok, what's your favorite? She recommended champagne rose and rhubharb (both were very good). The other one I got was pistachio (which was just ok). I find the fillings to be quite creamy and there's quite a bit more cream in Luxemburgerli compared to regular macarons. It's a timed entrance so you have to make your best guess. You enter on the second floor where you get squeezed around guided tour groups and just masses and masses of people. The timed tickets apparently do nothing to stem the flow of hyper children and teenagers running amuck. The museum portion was interesting but we were not provided an audio guide nor was there a docent assigned to us. Suddenly chocolate fountains of white, milk and dark came into view and all thoughts of learning chocolate facts went out the window. We grabbed these disposable spoons and felt like Augustus Gloop as we licked the chocolates and then felt like hamsters as we stuck out our palms to receive the bits of chocolate dispensed out of tubes. Nothing was labeled but each tube dispensed a different flavor of chocolate! At the very end of the tour, we were given 1 of each flavor of the Lindor truffle balls! There was even a cute interactive part outside the museum where if you scan your ticket, you watch a Rube Goldberg machine transfer a ball into a piece of wrapped chocolate into your hand! I would've enjoyed this more had not this feral little boy behind us not screamed and clutched at people because he could not wait his turn. The shop was pretty expensive and I could not tell the difference between Lindt chocolate sold in the US but the tastings were magical. It's right by the airport. (And by that I literally mean inside the airport). So, it's super convenient for souvenirs while you're traveling. They sell them by the weight and oh my goodness! Each one is a bite of heaven. We ended up buying almost twelve or so and worried that we might have bought way too many. But, we quickly learned there's no such thing as too many. They are simply divine. Just a little bit of crunch and gooey deliciousness. My favorite one was the Rose with Strawberries. (at least I think it was strawberries... chances are it could also be raspberries!) But, honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options. Another unusual one I enjoyed was the Strawberry Rhubarb. The only thing I would warn you about is watiting to long to eat them. They're sooo good the first day or two, but get stale if you wait a week. So eat up! While you're here, don't forget to pick up some truffles too! Those are just as good as the luxembergeli, but luckily last much longer. I didn't try any of the unusual flavors, but all their chocolate was the bomb. The white chocolate truffles were absolutely my favorite of all. I wish I could say I'll be back soon, but I guess I might not be able to come back.
