There are Air France kiosks noticeable present before the Air France ticket counter. Americans are instructed to arrive at the Airport two (2) hours prior to the scheduled departure flight. The United States TSA policies do not apply in France. The check-in lines moved along quickly. Outside of the late Aeroport Montpellier opening, it is good experience. Often the disability call button that is located outside, doesn't work. If you are in a wheelchair, I suggest you plan to have someone with you to help you, until someone takes you. Airport food, we know it, is expensive and not the best, but it seems they put a special effort in this place. Prices are just ridiculous, and I refuse to pay so much for a croissant and a tea. Once you are inside and passed security, the employees are nice and knowledgeable. So, bring your snacks and water bottles, have someone to help you if you require assistance, and make sure to check in online the day before.

Lovely experience…read more Easy to get to via the public bus but there is parking available. Snack/gift shop prior to security. Restroom prior to security was clean and the stalls were individual and the door had no cracks in them for anyone to peer inside. Security was pleasant. Once past security there are 2 upstairs areas with floor to ceiling windows to see outside and plenty of comfortable relaxing chairs. One is also geared for families. There is also a small children's play. There is also a souvenir/snack shop near the gates. The prices were high (normal for airports). All staff that I encountered were pleasant, professional.

The Tour de France runs through it anyway). There's a coffee shop selling delicious hot chocolate and pastries, and a small shop for souvenirs and snacks - not a lot else to keep you amused though.

The security buzzer seems to go off completely at random (no metal objects to speak of). Maybe I should get that pin removed from my foot.

There is a small passenger terminal at Nimes, therfore everything at the airport is rather small. Ryanair operate a small number of scheduled services to Liverpool, London Stansted in the UK, with East Midlands being dropped recently when Ryanair cut back on unprofitable services during the winter. Nimes has a bus service which operates after flights have landed, and takes around 10-20 min depending on traffic, it drops off at the TGV rail station, or the town centre. Nimes airport is one of the army bases in France, and therefore ATC have limited scheduled airline services from the airport.

Desternations include brussels and east midlands. The airport handles alot of private flights, and has several small private airlines based at the airport. Carcassonne airport is located to the west of the city, and is located a few miles from the city centre by bus service. The airport is also connected to several locations in the south of france, and these are also reachable by tran from the train station. TGV services operate from the station with several local services. Overall the airport is great to fly from, and as its very uncongested theres plenty of room unlike some large international airports.

Otherwise it's a pretty small little airport that lacks any sort of amenities, save a unusually nice snack shop. That looks very new and is very nice with decent offerings of sodas, snacks, pastries, ice creams, coffees, etc. The rest of the airport is pretty dire. One small terminal with 4 gates. All flights board outside. Which is probably usually fine in the South of France but it was pouring rain before our flight and we thus spent the 1.5 hours back to London somewhat uncomfortable. Well, more uncomfortable than Ryanair ALREADY makes you! Of note - the only restroom facilities are BEFORE security so if you have to go, you've been warned. Car rental facility is on site and very convenient. Like I said, it gets you into southern France, so...you could have a worse situation in your life, I am sure.
