Here is a look behind the scenes: - Yes, this hospital is extremely frequented, so in general I would always expect to wait (up to multiple hours) as a patient depending on why you come here - even if you have an appointment. - If you're looking for cutting-edge treatment - this is the place to be. That is also the reason why it is so frequented despite the waiting time. - The hospital is basically always under renovation, but the finished parts look very modern and nice. There are several buildings which are under construction at any point of time. - There is truly a lack of restaurants, coffee places, and snackbars. Your best option is the new Piazza Doro in the main building (House 23) on the first floor to your right. - The layout of the hospital campus is cramped and even employees do not necessarily know where which building is located - so always look for the public maps. - At least there is ample parking at acceptable costs but you are not able to drop somebody off in front of the main building (they changed this) - so expect to walk a bit. Overall, you come here for cutting-edge treatment and the 24/7 emergency room. Many things could be better, but it is still a huge OK hospital. Get well soon!

We knew what was wrong and told the Dr that he had food poison. The Dr came after 3 hours waiting time and told my partner to go to bed and sleep it off. We insisted blood work should be taken and he should be looked at. The Dr then became very arrogant and he knows better then we do. Next day when the symptoms got worse we went to a local house Dr. She did tests right away and said his life was at risk and the uni klinik should have seen this. Especially a ER Dr. My Husband needed a battery of injections and was put on medication. Glad to say he is fine now. I'm very angry at the uni klinik. This is not my first issue with them. Two years ago another friend was brought into the uni klinik ER and was bleeding profusely from the waste down and because he left his insurance card at home the ER doctor refused to even look at him even tho fresh blood was trailing behind my friend on the floor. Make sure that if you want to be taken care of and seen right away and don't want to go thru what me and many others go thru at this hospital CALL A AMBULANCE OR A krankenwagon. You will be top priority. Don't gamble with your life or the Un caring assholes at this hospital. A friend told me it was going to take 3 hours to get seen here and that was quick for a Frankfurt hospital, I was in and out in an hour. Although i was only in there for a cut which probably speed the process up as i just had to be stuck back together and have a tetanus shot. The only real issues i had were i was informed i should of gone to them within the first six hours of injuring myself(i stupidly left it a day as i didnt realise how deep it was until today (it was disgustingly deep) and one nurse forgot i needed to have the tetanus shot but that was more of a misunderstanding than anything as the conversation was switching between and english and german so much.

I wired $15,022 euro to accounting department which Mr Sevecke is head of and received confirmation from Melanie. Unfortunately my wife fell and fractured her wrist in early August, has been in cast and under doctor's care ever since. She was coming to take care of me through surgery and rehab. Then I received more bad news after a series of consults and X-rays that my knee had deteriorated more. I advised Melanie on August 15th I had to cancel surgery and have it done in US. She acknowledged and confirmed surgery has been cancelled and "I would get my money back immediately". Last correspondence with Melanie said "I have nothing to do with it. This is about the accounting department and they are informed....please be patient" my patience has run out! To date it has not happened and I have heard nothing back from accounting. If this is the way this hospital does business I can not recommend.

The paramedics brought in 2 people with Covid and they were put in the same waiting room as normal patients with other issues, we over heard them putting a Covid patient together with an older man. It's not good at all. Staff was not the friendliest either so we decided to leave. Don't come here, unless you want to be out mixed with Covid patients in a small waiting room. Please be careful of this place. Very busy, not friendly. Only good thing I can say is they have a clean facility, with hand sanitizer. Other than that, not good.

The front desk woman named Ariana or something like that was completely rude, disgusting human being, she always had an attitude. I understand people have their moments but we didn't do anything to this lady to deserve such treatment, she ignores you when you try to talk to her, she gives you ugly looks when your asking questions and responds in the rudest way. We had an insurance issue and she put her head down and started saying bad words and swearing at my sick husband. We didn't come to this country to cause issues and we wouldn't spend a lot of money coming here to play around. People like her do not belong in a medical office where she works with people, people who come are in pain or sick, last they need is to see an ugly face and an ugly attitude. I work in the medical field and she even refused to give me the email to the billing department when I asked to fix the insurance issue and she told me to get out. They want you to pay upfront everything as if money is more important. Please save your money and don't waste it here. Any foreigner planning to visit this place I say find another place or doctor who their staff will actually treat you like a human being. Even this place's ER was no good, the paramedics working the ambulance even complained how bad the service is and they felt bad to drop their patients there. So in conclusion, I pray that evil witch at the front desk at orthopedics either loses her job or god punishes her for the treatment she gives to people who come because they have pain. And it wasn't just her, there were a few more but this lady was the worst of them all. Never will I set foot in that establishment and I pray god punishes that woman for the evil acts she does to people in need, get another job lady if you can't handle this one.
