They were very expensive but I was desperate. The thing that let me down was that when I called back for a re prescription of the medication I had gotten before, they tried to charge me for a phone consultation and to fax it. Their fees were extremely high for the service offered and most doctors will re prescribe medication without the need for a further consultation. They are obviously trying to maximise their profits as any ruthless business would do. If you use their services you will be considered a client and not a patient. Only to be used in desperate situations and if you are prepared to pay extortionate prices.

The second assessment also accounted for the fact that I'd suffered a physical lower limb injury in recent years. Lyndsay adopts a holistic view and this was all taken into account in producing new orthotics. I was also happy in that my old orthotics could be refurbished in addition to the new ones. This means for me, I can leave a pair in my work boots whilst wearing the new orthotics in my own shoes/trainers. I took a seat and waited 40 minutes to see the first nurse who asked a few questions, I then had to wait in the waiting room again for another 30 minutes then another nurse took Mr into another room and examined my eye she was really nice and calming and explained everything she was doing. I couldn't thank the nurses enough the wait wasn't long and the service I received as great.

Parking is at the bottom of a hill so it is a little walk - it is £1.70 for 4 hours, something I begrudge paying, as I feel it is a tax on the sick. There are the usual outpatients departments, accident and emergency and general surgery. I went inside to the enquiry desk and was welcomed by the assistant. She directed me to the blood test section, I took a ticket, waited my turn and was seen within 5 minutes. I went to the x-ray section (just across the hall) and again only had to wait around 15 minutes. The staff were very helpful and the hospital was very clean and well run. There were soap dispensers everywhere to protect against the spread of germs. All in all, a good experience.

The centre is set in a house on a leafy road in Whalley Range just opposite the Spire hospital. It has a cozy rather than clinical feel to it I went for a 90 minute aromatherapy massage with Emma. The consultation was based around my muscular concerns and any aches or tension I had. Emma then asked what oils I wanted and whether I wanted relaxing, uplifting or a tension soothing oil mix. Oils blended the massage commenced with Emma working her magic on my lower back and shoulders, then thighs, calves and ankles ( I never knew that soooo much tension could exist in your ankles!) moving on to arms, neck, face and scalp. I came out feeling pleasantly relaxed and peaceful and at £48 for the treatment it was very reasonable. I've booked to go back again in 2 weeks time and may see if I can get a cheeky Indian head massage in in between. Would definitely recommend giving the centre a try it's good for your well being!

I received absolutely no response from the school and still haven't as of today (5th April). This is absolutely unacceptable. They have £550 of my money and have taken no responsibility for what is going on. I just hope that I can get the money back by going through my bank.

There's a Lloyds pharmacy as part of the whole compound which makes it easy to pick up a prescription if you've just been given one by the Dr. They'll also do electronic delivery to any chemist of your choice which makes it easy if you want to prompt them over the phone. Flu jabs for free are always available from Oct/Nov - my arm is still killing 4 days later but it's worth it not to get ill this winter! They're very in/out and they do Saturday flu clinics in case work is a bit manic in the week. The only prob with this place is that it shuts for a good stint at lunch times when sometimes it's the only time you can chat/pop in so make sure get in late morning before the close down.
