Their product may be good, but don't bother asking them about any details; like "what are you calling a cord?" ( some people will sell you less than a cord, which by the way, is 4' x 4' x 8') or " what species of wood will I be getting?" (some people will sell you inferior species.) I asked these two questions and the respondent (via text) imediately got miffed and acted like they were far too busy to deal with any one who would dare to ask. They immediately cut off my order because I had the audacity. As I said, they may have a good product (or not), but they sure weren't interested in confirming that by answering the two simple questions. The person I was texting with was rude and dismissive. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Oops, there goes that perfect Yelp rating.

A few years ago my neighbor was getting a load of firewood delivered and I went and asked Lenny, the driver, for his number. We've been getting about 3 cords a year from Lenny. There's no soft wood, very few scraps and he delivers when he says he will. His prices are more than reasonable.

He will consult with you about what kind of wood would be the most effective for your situation. For example, I have a one year-old wood-burning fireplace insert which can only take wood of certain lengths. Every time DAN delivers to me, he is cognizant of that. He took the time to explain to me how to burn the perfect fire and I was grateful. I made a fire that night and I was very very happy with the quality of the wood. It's hard to find dry seasoned wood, not everyone who has wood has "good" wood. It looks like I found my wood guy. Oh, and he travels with his black lab Echo, who is awesome.
