These types of lawyers just pull up random cases without any research on the individual and cause unnecessary stress and anxiety. From the very first call, we were transparent and gave every single detail of our case so the firm could determine whether they would take us on. We were told our case was promising and that they would represent us, and based on that assurance, we moved forward. We paid a $25,000 retainer in good faith during one of the hardest times in our lives. After we began working with them, we continued to provide even more documents and sensitive personal information. Only then did they suddenly tell us that, based on what we had just given them, our case was not strong and did not appear to be in our favor. This was incredibly upsetting because all of that information had already been disclosed in detail before the retainer was paid. They knew these facts upfront, yet still accepted the $25,000. What followed was mortifying. After receiving little to no meaningful support, we were forced to fight to recover our funds. It took multiple calls and persistent follow-up to finally get $19,700 of the retainer returned. However, $5,300 was kept by them--and we are absolutely mortified that over five thousand dollars has now been taken away. The initial call is supposed to be the time when a law firm evaluates whether a case has merit. Instead, it felt like RMO used that call as bait, making us believe we had a strong case only to take a substantial retainer and deliver almost nothing in return. From our perspective, this is less about advocacy and more about making quick money. At a time when we needed honesty, integrity, and guidance, we were met with the opposite. No family should ever have to go through what we did. I would highly advise staying away from this law firm altogether.

Melissa earlier made it clear she needed an exact time to talk to her, then unexpected, the same day, called me at 5PM, with no warning, after I'd spent an 11 hour day caring for a senior with dementia--insisted I speak to her about my case then, not even explaining what this call would involve. When I tried to express that this intake procedure was unsettling, she simply stated: we aren't a good fit, Good bye. Do these lawyers know their gatekeepers are ruining their business? This firm was recommended by a highly regarded psychologist who specializes in dementia testing--who these receptionists didn't care about at all, and made this very clear. At the end of the day it's the principal attorneys who oversee their staff. Can not recommend.

Also unfortunate, they had a few low-life family members that they let live at their house. They refused to leave after we gave them a verbal notice (being family, thought that may be easiest). Instead, we had to do it the hard way. I found Randy on Yelp and gave him a call. He was more than willing to spend time answering my questions and offering advice whereas other folks seemed like they were rushing or required a fee upfront. Right away, that was a solid sign and very cool of Randy to just talk. So we retained him for a reasonable fee. In our situation, he sent the 60-day notice (leaches were there over a year) and thankfully for us, something happened with these people where they up and moved out suddenly without us having to pursue further legal action, which Randy was about to execute on (they were about 2 weeks past the 60 day mark). So good outcome. I will say that Randy was very helpful to us through all of our incessant inquiries. Lol. Any time you deal with this type of situation for the first time, there's of course a lot of emotion involved and you almost can't help it. Randy gave very sage advice and said, take the emotion out of it and just let the 60-days pass by, we'll take it from there. Definitely recommend Randy. Great guy and solid service. Thank you!

I was isolated from my child's school, medical records, and even asked to notify a foreign embassy. I lived under extreme isolation, my time stolen, forced into 11 months of supervised visits just 6 hours a week under a TRO. Through all of this, I fought for my child and was left alone by everyone except Simon and Merve. They stood by me when nobody else did. Thank you, Simon. Thank you, Merve. You are the best. I worked with Simon during a very difficult and complex family law case. I have seen many attorneys during my journey and with respect to freedom of speech, I can honestly call most of them clowns. Simon is the only real trial attorney i have seen in my experience. My former attorney was lazy, incompetent, manipulative, and refused to file my counterclaim in a DV hearing. He charged me $35k while gaslighting me, putting fear in me, and ignoring my evidence even though I was the victim and had serious criminal court level evidences in my favor. I told him my child was in danger, but he did not care at all. After I fired him, he even sent my personal notes to opposing counsel. He nearly allowed my child to be kidnapped during trial if I had accepted his manipulation. Simon and Merve were completely different. They saw reality, experienced about how the system works, and fought for me and my child. From the beginning I told them I didn't care about myself everything was about protecting my child. Simon and Merve listened, shared my concerns, and kept me informed every step of the way. He has a heart, and even though the legal system often runs on cold templates, he has lived through enough to show real empathy while still being sharp, strategic, and aggressive when needed. Merve is the sweetest person, and as a parent herself, she gave me emotional support during the most difficult time of my life . or 11 months, I was limited to supervised visits -- just 6 hours a week. From inception of the case to its completion, I nearly forgot that I wasn't Pouya's only client, he was that attentive. As an inexperienced client, of course I'd have a litany of questions and concerns. It was no challenge for Pouya to put them all to rest, even the seemingly stupid questions. Although the lawyer-client boundary was clear and professional, Pouya still made sure to call me out on my own bs and advise when I may or may not have an unreasonable expectation. This kind of attention kept us on track to a very successful outcome. His response times are very quick, his knowledge in his craft is very far reaching, and he carries himself as any self-respecting lawyer should. Sure, I had a lot of honesty and integrity to help my case. I kept great records and had mountains of evidence at the ready. One thing I've learned from this process is that NONE OF THAT MATTERS without the right representation. There is no doubt in my mind that the successful (and favorable!) closure of my divorce was a direct result of Pouya's intervention. With the greatest respect, I would hope to never need him again. My son who is very bonded with me. He's very confident and represents aggressively in the court room. I had to end my retainer with him only because money got very tight. But he seems to take his job as an attorney seriously, unlike some attorneys out there that are simply going through the motions and are not as passionate in court. He has an intellectual and confident personality when he's live in court which I like about him. One thing that I will always be grateful for is that he was able to fight for me in court on one of the hearings and thanks to him and his pleading to the judge, I was granted Presumed Father status for my son who is not biologically mine. Which was a HUGE stepping stone in this custody battle.
