Well , let's see ! My Chevrolet Trailblazer began experiencing transmission troubles in…read moreHattiesburg. I live in Brookhaven, MS ( 90 miles away). The transmission was slipping and not shifting to 2nd gear ( automatic transmission). I call AAMCO on Mayfield Dr and explained the problem I was having. Was told to bring it on in for a diagnosis. Left if for 3 days and was finally given the bad news that the transmission needed a total rebuild or replacement. I opted for rebuild. I was told that it would cost between $2,500 and $3,000. WOW !!! So , I began to look for financing options as I needed it rebuilt. I left it there and some 2+ weeks later it was repaired. This was in August 2021. Paid the bill and on my way with an 18 month / 18,000 mile warranty. In March 2022 , guess what ? Yup , transmission slipping again. Will not shift into 2nd gear - AGAIN . Called AAMCO to ask what to do. Was told to bring it to Hattiesburg, now remember, I'm 90 miles away from there. I had to have my under warranty Trailblazer hauled to the shop on my dime to the tune of $450.00. And after 3 weeks in their shop I finally got it repaired, AGAIN. I asked if the warranty would be extended any more and was told NO the original warranty was all I would have. Hummm , my rebuilt- rebuilt transmission is ONLY good for 10 months now ! Just don't seem quite right. Hopefully this is the last issue I have with this problem.
