Plus the outside doors do not lock and the bathroom and shower stall doors can't be locked either. Also, eliminating some of the signs at the entrance would afford a more welcoming atmosphere for campers. It's like a slap in the face when you drive in! Great fishing, lots of room, trails, beach, boat launches but hardly anyone here . This place could be a great campground and a really moneymaker if someone with experience would pay attention to some of these details and make some pretty simple changes.

I knew I…read morewanted to explore Caddo Lake and had originally planned to kayak, but given the weather and the expectation of rain we decided it's better to have someone explain the history and rich landscape to us while we relax (and hope it doesn't rain). Overall experience was superb! Starting from our call, we didn't book ahead of time but they were able to get us a boat tour in an hour. Upon arriving, they greeted us kindly with a warm welcome. Our boated tour did last an hour, with the tour guide entertaining my stepdad with fun facts about the lake and its inhabitants. We were told that gators are rare to see especially during the day. And yet throughout our trip, we saw multiple great egrets, blue herons, one gator, and one ratsnake! We were astonished at how much wildlife we observed. The trip lasted an hour. It poured rain about 20 minutes after the tour ended. Truthfully had we postponed it, it could've ruined my Caddo Lake experience. I'm really glad the timing worked so well for us!

During the 90 minute boat tour, he was enthusiastic and passionate about the lake. He really seemed to enjoy sharing his immense knowledge the lake, both real and legend. I learned a lot and he made the tour very interesting. The day we went it was a bit chilly and overcast. It had just rained so the lake water was muddy, and therefore we did not see much wildlife, just a busy beaver and some blue herons. You can go during the summer when the water is clearer and see turtles and dragon flies. During the summer, the climate is much hotter and humid and there is little air flow on the lake, so be prepared to sweat. Cool and overcast actually was preferable IMO. The wife and I had toured the lake about a decade ago and we left from the northern part of the lake. Our opinion is that despite the fact that Captain Ron did a great job, the northern part of the lake is more interesting than the southern part where Captain Ron is now located.

But sheer irony is all that's in this name, for it is located on the banks of the Red River in Shreveport, at the east end of Stoner Avenue. To which, the street name follows the name of the surrounding neighborhood of Stoner Hill, which has been around longer than the slang that attaches itself to this moniker now. I'm 42, so I can't really "get rad" or "drop some ollies" on a skateboard like maybe my 14-year-old self could've maybe back in the day, but every now and again I'll ride my bike over the humps and lumps of this wicked-cool park! This park is located in probably the best recreational area between the two cities of Shreveport and Bossier City. It's located right next to the Stoner Marina/Boat Launch, right on the bike/jogging/walking path off of Clyde Fant Parkway. The park is free to use for one and all and it's open to the public 24-7! There are also all sorts of railings and sharp concrete curves available for rail slides, And yes, Dyrdek himself has been to his own park here and he has christened it to be so!
