Provided extremely limited advice on how to best position myself for the case. Was purely reactive. Omitted relevant details from consideration. Pointed some of those out to me but never discussed in trial. Felt like a ticket to an easier retirement for my lawyer rather than someone who was arguing for my best interests.

My divorce was messy and the worst part was that my child was caught in the middle. Unfortunately, this an all too common occurrence in 21st century America. One of the few things that was a positive experience was Teresa Drexler. I started off with another expensive Colorado Springs law firm, and let them go because they did not advocate for me or what was best for my child. I was told that Teresa Drexler was the best in town for family court, so I hired her. She was outstanding when I had to take my ex back to court (multiple times) for not following the divorce agreement. She not only navigated some very rough waters for me, but gave me the peace of mind that my wants/rights would be well represented. She has been a steadfast advocate for me, for equitable custody, and poked a flawed family court system in El Paso County into doing the right thing. As a bonus, I have used her and her firm for multiple post divorce issues, including appeals, bogus contempt claims, prenuptial agreements, and even international residency issues. I have read the negative reviews on Drexler Law and I will not comment on anyone else's experiences with Drexler. My comments are based on my own experiences with Teresa and her firm. They come in four flavors. First, I have to say that I did not get everything I thought was fair from the family court. However, Teresa maximized what I was going to get from a deeply flawed family court system. I know, because she had to reverse a lot of damage my previous law firm caused. Second, she is not a miracle worker and cannot force judges or the opposing counsel to show up prepared or act like in the best interest of the family. However, given the reality of our justice system, I cannot think of a better advocate for you to have in your corner. Third, she did not always tell me what I wanted to hear, but always told me what I needed to hear. Teresa thoroughly explained the strength of each spouse's respective case and told me that sometimes the judge rules a way we cannot predict. She advocated for what I believed was right and knew all the idiosyncrasies of opposing counsel and the judges. Finally, I found Teresa very compassionate yet realistic. She always explained the law in a respectful manner, helped me understand what was probably going to happen, and what I needed to do next. Yes, Drexler Law is expensive, but if you were going to have open heart surgery, would you want to use a chest cracker from Walmart or would you want the best you can get, no matter how expensive? Family law and navigating a divorce is just as critical to your well being (and mental health) as open heart surgery. Divorce in 21st Century Colorado is an expensive affair, and it left me in financial tatters. Teresa was always mindful of the cost, and helped me spend my legal dollars wisely. Also, Drexler Law was patient with me and worked with me on a reasonable payment plan. I would give my very highest recommendation for Teresa Drexler and Drexler Law. If you find yourself going through a divorce or you are expecting to get a divorce, reach out to Drexler Law, you will not regret it. Here is one final tip: it is best to get her on your side as early as possible!

He told me some personal documents, claimed by the four crooked attorneys who were pursuing charges against me, were mine. He gave me no advice as to how to secure them. Historical documents! Other attorneys with whom he was VERY friendly include: Lynn Vanetta Perry and Linda Waugh, conservator. They were all in a racket together. They caused both of my parents to die earlier than they would have. Reed charged me, on the last bill, for phone conversations. I found out he talked 1/4 of the time he claimed. He refused to use graphics in court. I recorded most of our conversations, including phone, and have proof he spent at least 40% of the time talking about real estate he was interested in or the like. He made me do my own sorting of records. This is 10 years ago! The craziest part is it was like the movie "I Care A Lot" and my """""crime""""" was against my own parent from whom I borrowed $1600, while paying for groceries from my own account. James Reed did nothing to prevent my Father's illegal removal from his home or isolation from family. Attached is photo of my father his last day, which I recorded on a laptop. He KNEW something was happening and took his last look at his HOME alone while the greedy attorneys gathered their spoils.
