Every time we call them and need something fixed they are unbelievably rude and disrespectful to me and their response is always "We'll make a note of this issue and have someone get in touch with you later this week." Then as you can probably guess we never receive a call from anyone and the problem never gets resolved. After several weeks we will call to follow up with them on the issue and they respond with "Oh, we don't have any notes here about that issue, we'll have someone call you later", only to blow me off again and never send a repair man to fix the issue. If you're looking for a place to live in Utica or the surrounding areas I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. These people are absolutely horrible in every way. I think smokers lived in my unit previously, as after a while yellow-ish-brown streaks started appearing down all the bedroom and bathroom walls. Their trash container is to small to handle all the garbage from the 18 unit complex and overflows almost weekly. Trash is strewn around the immediate area and smells. Their maintenance is horrible. The central A.C. in my unit died and it took three months to repair. I called them several times and sent them a certified letter to explain the issues. I finally had to go out and purchase a window unit. A neighbor had to move out because of major flooding in his living room, and the landlord didn't ever take measures to dry the living room. When I stepped on my neighbor's living room soggy carpet, water seeped through. They are liars and cheats and will ignore your problem. Their general upkeep of the property is severely lacking as some of the apartment's wooden door frames are rotting and leaving holes and gaps. They don't care about the tenants so long as they are getting their money. They never returned my phone call and letter to confirm my moving-out inspection so I thought it wasn't going to happen. I put the keys out of sight in the apartment and locked the doors. An hour later the guy showed up to do the inspection but the he, nor the office, had a spare key to get in the apartment. They're charging me for the locksmith cost. Who doesn't keep a spare key in the management's office? This place is ridiculous and I'm glad I moved.

His strategy....use out of state investors to bring their money into Watertown, fix up a dump, let him put Section 8 tenants or TLS tenants in there only to have your home destroyed. Use the few bucks you made if tenants paid to fix up the property again...rinse....repeat while he collected his monthly management fee. I was investing in Watertown for about 4 years and I'm still trying to get out of there. I moved everything over with Darrin Ashcroft that I have left. Micah shouldn't be in real estate or property management as he does not care about the investor evidenced by the trash he put in my home. I don't think he ran background checks or looked at prior convictions. Somehow everything he touched turned into a time suck. I have no idea how he stays in business personally. In the process of interviewing new prospects, we came across Micah Matteson. Hiring him as our property manager was the best decision we have made. He understood our situation. He went out of his way to accommodate us, and within the first 2 yrs we were able to turn things around. When our properties were profitable again, he helped us selling them.
