My child (rising 4th grader) is excelling in school and we have Kumon to thank for! The Kumon…read moremethod is practice, practice, practice until mastery so I know my child is learning the basics and mastering certain levels and concepts before moving up to the next level. It is different how schools are teaching math and reading but I like this method bc as a high school teacher, it's becoming more common to see high schoolers needing calculators for basic addition. My child does get homework from Kumon everyday (again, different from some schools but it doesn't take long on both the math and reading) so there is development of building discipline and practice. My child is at least 2 grades above in math and reading and we have Kumon to thanks! (I also grew up with Kumon and found it helped make school easier for me)

We signed up for a prep course only to find out we would not be taught the material that was signed up for. This tutor has another full time job and so she is very busy, and has very limited hours to coordinate with you. They do not tell you this when you are signing up. Also, you cannot reach her for anything. For instance, if you want to ask her updates on how your child is doing or what they studied that day, you will not get any of that information. She will tell you she is too busy and that you need to contact the owner. She shows up tired, over worked (from her other job) and is very unenthusiastic about her tutoring job. When you pay $100 plus for a tutor this is not what you should get!!! I understand if she is tired but then we should be given the option to not continue. The owner is equally unhelpful. This is a toxic environment where the owner is yelling and it is in no way conducive to learning. The building is also very run down and should be shut down. DO not believe the pictures you see online. Your child will be in a small cramped up room with no ventilation and no proper desk or chair. Everything is a scam and is a lie. There are many other centers out there to choose from and are run very differently and are up to par. I really hope this review helps people NOT to choose this place because I fell for the scam and signed up online without knowing the facts about this place. Other centers want to see your children thrive and have a variety of tutors and timings to fit your needs. Unfortunately this is not the case with PLC prime learning center. They just want your money and that is it. The tutor is condescending and could not be bothered with. I hate to write bad reviews but I'm just appalled at their behavior especially in front of children. I don't understand how they are still in business.

We decided to enroll our son at Montessori of Chantilly because after going through a long list of…read morepreschools in the area, I really did not find a place that "felt right and safe" specially during COVID except for this one. I communicated with Ms. Kaltun, the director and I must say, after speaking to her once, I was "sold" at putting my son at her school. She is very personable, very kind and understanding, genuine and just listened to my questions, concerns and answered them confidently which gave me peace of mind sending my son over to a school during the pandemic. We then went to the school for a tour and met Ms. Komala, our son's primary teacher. At first meeting, our son felt very comfortable with her and he never forgot her name even tho it took us about 4 months before starting in class- she sure gave him a good impression and really showed us how much she cared for the children. I have so much good things to say about the school. I have recommended them to my friends and coworkers who also had good experience with them. Overall, this is a place that cares about our children, they do not look at them as numbers like all the others. If you want quality education and a safe place for your children, this is it.

The thing that I really appreciate about the teachers is the fact that they want to learn more about the respective cultures of the student body so that they can prepare them for the diverse world that exists outside of the school. My daughter is part of such a warm and welcoming environment, so much so that they even invited parents to come in and contribute towards a special event yesterday to better understand and appreciate the importance of Lunar New Year to my family and the other families that celebrate. As a dad, I will always be thankful for that. Highly recommend.
