The Glass Cathedral Santa Chiara stood out to me because it's at the very top of TripAdvisor's list of the top attractions in Murano. I tried to make a reservation online but they don't allow day-of reservations so we tried our luck in person. Luckily, it worked out. It's a short walk from the water bus station. Though I will say it's a bit tough to find because the cathedral is a bit hidden. Once you walk in, you see how beautiful the cathedral is and you already feel like you're in the right place. We arrived at a good time and got tickets for the next show. You can just pay for the demonstration itself or add beverages as add-ons e.g. beer, wine, Aperol spritz, mixed drinks, etc. We added Aperol Spritz which is served in a nice glass (I would expect nothing less in Murano). From there, there is some bench seating and a few tables where you can view the demonstration. The artist performing his craft was an artist in the true sense of the word. He wasn't there to entertain the crowd. He didn't seem friendly. But he loves his craft. And I love that. It was super impressive to see him do his thing and create multiple works of art along the help with his assistant. Murano is known for having the best glass-blowing in the world so you'll see a lot of advanced techniques and you'll get a grasp of the skill needed to create what you can buy at stores or online. It makes you appreciate even more the value of handmade goods. Seeing a glass-blowing demonstration is a must when you're in Murano and this place may very well be the best!

Noticed the prices about double the crowded places, but asked for a canal table and only condition was that each of us ordered a meal. Done!! We were seated with kind and prompt service. Got my aperol spritz and was by the water with Rialto in sight. What more can anyone ask for??!! Bliss I tell ya. Anyway, ordered a pizza which was giant for I've person, but was delicious!!! Plus it's serene and spacious, private and more upscale. It's a 15 -20 minute boat ride from the hotel to St Mark's Square they have a complimentary shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from the square and the hotel. Minuses it's away from the city center so not many choices for dinner. For me definitely more pluses than minuses. We took a private water taxi from the train station which we paid out of pocket but was worth it vs walking from the train station to the pick up area at St Mark's Square. We had free breakfast buffet each morning and and there were so many choices, both hot and cold. They even had an omelette station. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant was beautiful. Our check-in process was smooth and easy. Stefano was great. The room was super spacious with a huge closet, huge bathroom and a great view. The grounds were beautiful and we took walks every morning. They have a rooftop pool, which is heated although we did not use it. There was a great view and restaurant from up there.

Service is exceptional, especially Antonio, who helped with our luggage and even assisted me in booking tickets to the Venice International Film Festival. This time we had a beautiful, spacious suite for the 3 of us, with high ceilings, on the 4th floor (#60), with a view of the canal, although you have to look straight down, because you are right ON the canal. Breakfast is delicious; loved the fresh fruit, veggies, bread, lox and fresh squeezed orange juice. Perfect location for exploring, right near the Accademia vaporetto stop, and close walk to lots of wonderful restaurants and cafes. Can't wait to return!

It has wonderful outside areas to relax in both the front and the back. We enjoyed their restaurant where you can sit either inside or outside on the canal with good food for both breakfast and lunch. Their staff provide excellent service. An additional benefit is that they have their own spot on the canal for water taxi pick-up & drop-off. We highly recommend it.
