Generally, mussels are usually only act ass a vessel for which to consume whatever delicious broth they come in...and though the broth was tasty, it was deceptively simple. It was just a standard creamy buttery garlic sauce, which really allowed the plump, juicy mussels to shine. Delicate flavors, but warm and wonderful...we were really surprised at how much the mussels took on the flavor and texture of the creamy broth. Another simple yet fantastic treat we had was the tomato bread which is exactly what it sounds like: toasted bread topped with diced tomatoes. The tomatoes were seasoned simply with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Overall, very tasty and picturesque spot.
