This was my first time to have pupusas and needless to say, it didn't disappoint at all! It was delicious, freshly made and so comforting. I ordered the mixte one, which had cheese plus all the fillings (chicken, pork, beef, beans). I'm salivating as I write this. I also ordered one chicken tamale which was fantastic. A little bit greasy but very comforting again. It came with some curtido and salsa roja (both in little baggies). Since it was take out, they gave us our orders in take out brown bags. The only thing missing was cutlery, but luckily tamales and pupusas are easy to eat using only your hands. The service was great! The main person helping us was very nice and courteous, and they let us know exactly how much time we'd be waiting for our take out. They were very nice! I'd highly recommend Las Palmas for pupusas!

We sat down at a long table (the restaurant is a good size and pretty large groups could definitely enjoy a meal here together). We all had some pupusas (with the traditional toppings) and horchata (one of my favorite drinks on a hot day) - delicious. The interior of the restaurant is traditional, charming, and very comfortable. The service was excellent - everyone was so kind and warm. It was a great meal to start a day of exploring the rich food culture of the Jean-Talon area of Montreal. I would happily return.
