This was my first drag show and I didn't really know what to expect. It turned out to be a series of performers who sang, dance, and lip synced along with a host. Being in Montreal, it was mostly in French of course. I understood just enough to be entertained. Quality of performers will vary from night to night of course but the host was definitely great and ragged on a couple audience members throughout the show.

Witnessed the best performances I have ever seen! Don't know the name of the performer who came out to Lady Gaga on 1/19/19- but seriously the Best! Coat check during the winter storm was excellent benefit. The place was busy, however we had no trouble getting to the bar for drinks. Staff was super friendly and professional. Will be telling everyone back home this is the place to go and have some fun, can't wait till we come back for the summer.

Mado is a gay celebrty in Montreal. She is a fabulous drag QUEEN and has a huge following. (Take that Shena Hershey!!). Mado opened her own drag bar in the gay village and has some wild and has some wild and outragous shows. Open every day tea dance to late night. It is all fun and campy. A good time. One can not miss the huge Mado sign out front, of Mado's face huge as a Macy's balloon.

Completely not my scene, as in I'm not a crowds or drinking person. You spend a lot of time waiting for the show to start (assuming that's what your there for), unless you want to risk coming in later and definitely not getting a seat. But, still worth checking out at least once. We got there around maybe 10 pm and ended up standing around for 1-1.5 hours. By the time we arrived, all the tables were taken. After the show started, we ended up having a nice time and staying another 2 hours (mostly because we finally found seats). Some of the dancing was better than others. Mostly in French, so I didn't understand most of it. A LOT more talking than expected, like 5-10 minute talks after every performance. And filled with bachelorette parties.

10:00pm and the place was pretty packed, but I managed to snag one of the few bar stools available. My wife was wearing heals, so being the gentleman I am, I gave her the seat and stood just behind her. I feel a pair of hands touch my sides, and then lovingly glide gently down to my hips. "Oooh La La..." a gentle voice whispers in my ear. The hands grip more firmly, yet in a teasingly manner. Was that a gentle squeeze? "Kenichi Wa..." that same amorous voice...my heart tingles... The tender hands push me slightly to the left, a warm body brushes against my backside. "Pardon moi..." that sweet feminine voice sings to me again. I turn my head to the right to see face of this mysterious and seductive voice... Though its dark inside , I could still see her beautiful face is flawless, perfect eyes, smooth pale white skin, plump ruby lips...Madame Mado herself? "So sorry handsome, I just wanted grab a drink before I go on!" -Mado "Oh no worries, you're good!" -Chun P. She's real good...if only my wife wasn't around... Its a $13 cover charge and so worth it! Even though the show is about 80% in French and only 20% in English, the music, performance, and sexiness of the shows don't need any translation and are 100% awesome. The friendly bar staff spoke perfect English, and cocktails are only $6-7 each(I'm talking Canadian dollars, so its only like $5-6 each in US dollars!). Good times!

We were told this was a MUST SEE show.

Supposedly, this IS the hot spot in Montreal...not only for tourist, but mainly for kicks and giggles for the locals and bachelorette/bachelor parties. This was my first drag show and I had a fantastic experience. It's a 3 hours show with a 30 minutes intermission that allowed you to dance up on stage. I thought the show itself was classy and not trashy at all. It's mainly for pure entertainment and a good laugh. I didn't understand any of the jokes because they were in French, but Mado really knew how to spice up the crowd. He picked on people, like us New Yorkers, that weren't laughing (due to the language barrier) and decided to translate some of the dirty jokes in English for us. Despite not knowing French, the show was awesome and some of these drags were actually very pretty and skillful in their dancing. Oh, and that Mary Poppin show was priceless! It left my jaw dropping to the ground because what they did was so unexpected.Your Montreal trip would not be complete if you didn't stop here to watch the show. I'm glad both a friend of mine and my landlady recommended this place beforehand. My friend and I loved the Gay Village in Montreal. The entertainment was fabulous, the bars were fun, and who doesn't love free wifi on Saint Catherine Street and those hot pink ping pong ball decorations.

Truly entertaining even though it's not the best looking drag I've seen. They were funny! Most of it is in French so I was a bit lost. The best part was when the first act ended, the stage turned into a dance floor. Not sure if that is what usually happens but that's what happened when we were there. We danced the whole way through. Second act was funnier! Worth the wait. Our reservation was made with the tables priced at $20/person since all the $25/person tables were taken. If you call to make reservation and the $20/person is the only option, DON'T DO IT! Our table was placed on the right side of the stage where we saw the side view of the performances. Such a bad angle. But it is right next to the bar which is a plus.

Very entertaining and drinks were very affordable! Place is small and intimate. It's located in the heart of local bars and pubs, so you can enjoy the night outside as well. Keep in mind that the liquor stores in the area closes at 10pm to purchase.

While I didn't have the chance to try any of the food, the service alone left a great impression! The staff was attentive, friendly, and always seemed to appear at just the right moment when our glasses were running low. Everything felt effortless throughout our time. The space itself is cute. They also have a lovely outdoor patio with cozy lighting and greenery making it a great spot to relax and enjoy good conversation. Tucked away with a beautiful terrasse in the back, it's the kind of place you'd almost miss--but absolutely shouldn't. The service was fantastic from start to finish--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
