It was the most horrible, traumatizing, demeaning and discriminating experience I've ever experienced, not only in a place of business like this, but I'm my entire life. Please note, this was my 1st time here & my stylist was Cliff, who I never met. Things were great, so I thought. The usual chit-chat, then came the questions about my hair. I explained how I'm going through a lot thought now with my thyroid and the meds being off, which has been causing my hair to become dry & fall out. He was shocked by this and asked more ?? about my medical condition, which I answered, because it wasn't a big deal at the time. I did explain that it does make your body want to shut down. Again he asked for more details on that. I told him for me, I'm in constant pain, which I'm managing, I'm tired all the time, brain fog, etc. I told him the thyroid runs your entire body, to which he seemed fascinated by. During all of this, he was combing out my hair ( roughly) and putting on color. He wasn't gentle at all, and when I ask him if he could be a little more gentle on my hair/scalp, all he said was, "I've been doing this for over 45yrs and no ones ever told me I was too rough, but OK." No apologies. We talked a little more about his family, then he wanted more info on my health, which I just gave basic answers, because now I'm wondering why. Now I'm back and ready for the cut. He puts on the dry cap, starts to comb through my hair and thought at that point, he slammed his scissors down and yells out, for the entire salon to hear, "I can't do this"! He con't, "I can't work with you, we're just not getting along." "With all your" health issues" and problems with your thyroid, I can't take it. " He then runs up to the front desk and starts ranting to ask the other stylist and " begging"for someone else to do my hair, because he "just can't because he's not getting along with me." Not ONE stylist bothered to come over to see if I was OK. When Cliff did this I went into a full panic /anxiety mode from past horrific trauma. The ones not working stayed on their phones and pretending nothing was happening and the ones working along with the clients, would stop and watch. There was a male stylist right across from me, who I purposely made eye contact with and he just looked away. WHY? Everything Cliff did/said was traumatizing, mean, demeaning, humiliated and the worse thing he did, he used my medical health to discriminated against me, which I'll never stand for. 5 called TWICE to speak the Owner/Manager ERIC SIPE, but he didn't both. With new product lines & a refreshed updated atmosphere, this already beautiful hair and nail salon offers a superb talented, experienced staff & designers, all with reasonable prices. My daughter and I went in for her Homecoming nails and toesies (WITHOUT an appointment)... sigh. I suggested we get one but she said it would be okay, and it was, but for sure next time I am appointment-ing up! They were super nice about getting us in, did a fabulous job on the pedicures (I snuck on in too!) and did a full set of acrylic nails for my daughter. The prices were great, the people were great... This is the second time in a row I've come to get my hair done and someone at the nail station has this obnoxious vacuum running constantly. Outside the business, it says spa, but you do not feel like you're going to a nice spa and having your hair cut and colored in a relaxing situation when you hear a constant vacuum noise for an hour. Imagine turning your vacuum cleaner on at your house and just letting it run for an hour while you're just trying to live in the house. That's what my experience has been now two times in a row. read more

Matiana ! You are a blessing. I figured I would try a new place and this place is recommended by everyone it seems in this area. I called to make an appointment for hombre nails and pedicure and they were able to get me in right away. I got my nails done first. I did hombre with a light pink so it looked a little more natural. Matiana did awesome. She kept them a good length for me and I love the shape she had. For the pedicure, it was okay. My toes came out great and the polish lasted, but I have had a betteer pedicure. I am used to getting a massage from toes to my knees and this time it was really just focused on my feet. Don't get me wrong it was still good, but not the greatest. They do offer drinks like water, coke and Diet Coke. They didn't offer me wine, so I am not sure if they usually have wine or maybe they just don't offer it. Went today for the first time after driving by for a few years. I had my reg girl in st Pete. But today she cancelled right before I have an event. Well let me tell you, EVA is the bomb. Not only did she squeeze me in- she rocked my highlights & cut. I think I found my new local salon. I'm extra particular w who cuts my hair- having long curly hair- it's hard for me to find the stylist that can properly layer it, so that it looks good if I straighten it as well! This is a nice place to get nails done, however one of the nail artists did my nails and it turned out nothing like the reference picture. He did them the complete opposite and not the shape I asked for. I asked for a sharp almond. He left it almost see through and blank spots and just not a good nail artist. read more

It was more or less clean, but not welcoming. I sat in the lobby for 10 minutes before I was greeted. I paid for an upgraded pedicure, but did not receive what I should have (callous remover and scrub). My polish was applied all over my toes and I had to clean it up when I got home. My gel manicure is already chipping (less than 24 hours later). At checkout they overcharged me by $18 and then gave me really hard time about fixing it. I will not be back. So I went here about 3 to 4 months ago to get my ends trimmed and at the time I had very long hair that took me years to grow (was about to my belly button) I told the stylist by the name Eva who I trusted had years of experience (based off the business's description of her) I just wanted max an inch off and I did not care about there still being dead ends, well she turns me around and cuts off about 5 inches of my long hair that took me so long to grow out off. Months later I'm still dealing with the insecurity this stylist has created for me and I still hate my hair. Steer clear of this place if you value having long beautiful hair. You can argue hair is hair and it will grow back but when your client makes it clear they just want an inch off and you cut off 5 inches while they have their back turned is ridiculous! Not everyone can just grow 5 inches worth of hair in 3 months back. Jealousy is clearly a real thing. read more

Danielle, who works miracles with short hair, color, razor cuts - you name it, really (I've thrown all sorts of "let's try this fun thing I found" and she nails it every time.) has left Cabelo. My heart was broken until I not only found her, but found her at a place which is WAY more reasonably priced. Posh Salon at 3857 Northdale Blvd, Tampa, Florida. Don't let the address fool you. This place destroyed my hair. When my husband called to find out what happened they gave 3 minutes of excuses including the girl who cut my hair worked for the government. Not sure what that mattered. Then she told my husband that I flipped out and stormed out of the location. The photos below were taken in my car on my way from new port richey to Spring Hill where I live. Even though the location accused me of going home and intentionally styling my hair like I have a mushroom in the back. Go at your own risk but definitely be careful in my opinion. The last one was while writing this after washing out the product and letting it dry. / also I will loose my long hair after I have to cut it off to fix it into a style. I no longer have hair for my daughter for my daughter to play with while she eats. read more

I called this salon because they were listed on the Ouidad site as a certified Ouidad salon (curl experts) and the woman I spoke to told me they were certified so I set up my appointment for a cut/color. I get there and the stylist tells me she has no idea what I am talking about. I wanted to leave but was in desperate need of a cut and color, so I stayed. The color was burning my head but after a few minutes it subsided. In defense of Amanda, she did ask if I wanted her to remove the color. However, the color that got on my face left chemical burns all the way around my face. All around my hair line and my face are burnt and the skin is falling off in large flakes, it's kind of disgusting. So disappointed, not only did they lie to me, it cost me an arm and a leg, and now I am peeling like a lizard. read more

If I was able to give no stars I would. I called a week in advance for an appointment to color my hair. I was told that would take a couple hours. When I get there they only have me booked for a half hour. Which means I couldn't get it done. Worst experience ever. read more

Very expensive!!! My stylist was a sweetheart, but for a junior stylist I was shocked at what I paid! I have lived in big metropolitan area's outside of Florida and have paid much less. Be weary of what you ask for and the small ways they sneak price hikes in. She did a good job, but not for my shoulder length hair. I paid almost $200! Sadly, I will not be returning. read more

The first time to the Salon. I had my hair colored by Justina. She's very nice and engaging but she didn't give me what I had ask for and she never told me that with my budget I wouldn't get what I wanted. So I left the salon upset but still payed and went back in for a color correction a few days later... Then I left happy. I loved the color it turned out to be. It was a nightmare getting to it though. Justina did the correction and she was still nice about it. Some stylists get the ego in a twist and get upset at you for complaining about their mistakes. She was great at the end but needs to be more informative about what things would cost UPFRONT AND NOT give the clients enough for what their budgets would be enough for. *sigh... It's a beautiful salon though... Second time--- oh why oh why do I keep going back? I went in for a root touch up, highlight, keratin treatment, and cut style. I was there for a LONG LONG TIME. My stylist Elisha was not nice or engaging. She would occasionally look at herself in the mirror and smile but not talk to me. It was boring as all hell. I asked for highlights. I've had experience with highlights previously and I know there are different ways to do them( the amount/ coverage ect) she never asked. I said I want them to look natural and blended in with my hair. She acted like she understood but the color came out too light on top and nothing underneath. Wtf. The keratin process was fine but I just had it done so I can't tell if it's good or not yet. Then she cut my hair. I said I wanted layers and should her what I wanted before she started. She was rushed and made it choppy and ugly. She is the worst stylist. Again I left the salon upset and called the next day to do a correction cut this time. Elisha had to do the correction but I didn't want her too. She was so damn rude when o was telling her why I didn't like it. It was choppy as hell and didn't look anything like how I asked. I wanted to talk to her so she could maybe see what I saw and she snapped at me is a bitchy way " LET ME JUST FINNISH AND tTHEN WELL TALK!!" Uh excuse me, I'm the client here. If I want l tell you how I would like my hair cut. I am pretty sure I have that right. It's my freakin hair. Anyway I left her and saw the back of it. Looked like shit. So I had a different stylist Finnish it off. She was so nice and explained to me about how to style it. I wish I gave her the tip and NOT ELISHA. I will never go back to this salon again. I decided to see Jennifer at this salon i sat down and she asked me what i wanted i told her i wanted a Balayage she said why do you want that?? I sat down at 10 am and didnt get done till 2 she didnt know how to do this technique my hair was multiple shades of orange, she then decided to go back and put brown on my roots then that all turned my hair multiple colors so at this point she knew i was upset she caught an attitude and told me to come back at 6 that same might but still charged me 118 dollars before i left. So i come back and she decided to put a head full of foils of bleach in my hair and put me under the dryer for 20 mins so when we sat down to blow dry my hair was dark brown at the crown of my head and half way down my hair was white and my hair was breaking everytime she put the brush through it! I said to her what did you do to my hair and she looks at me and says What..what is wrong with it now and she proceeds to argue with me about how there is nothing wrong with my hair! I took pictures of each visit with her and the damage! I have never had anyone in the service industry to speak to me the way she did! read more

Beautiful salon with a friendly staff! Samantha has been doing my nails for the past 2 years and I could not ask for a better nail tech. She is thorough and always up for trying new designs on my nails! I always leave with something different and pinterest worthy. Loved this salon, so clean and beautiful. I had an appt with Terry and she was amazing. Did such a great job cutting and styling my hair, I highly recommend her. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the girl who washed my hair (can't remember her name- blonde girl) did a horrible job. She used the smallest amount of shampoo and only washed it once. She did not get in there and massage it and left the whole back and bottom of my hair totally oily and dirty. My hair is thick and she obviously doesn't know how to wash hair. I didn't notice until I got home and started playing with my hair or I would have said something at the salon. But otherwise I would go back. read more
