They gave me an amazing estimate and once I signed on the dotted line they came, set up, did all the work, and cleaned up after only a week! What I loved is that they arrived on time every day, didn't stand around wasting time, didn't leave the job site for extended periods of time, brought their own portapotty, were friendly and respectful to our family, considerate of my kids (one of whom has severe special needs), explained what they were doing in a thorough but not condescending way, and they cleaned up every day after that day's work. Best of all was the quality of work. I'm no expert but I can tell when construction work is bad and I'm being BS'ed versus when it's good. And Clean Slate's work was very good. I've already hired them for another job at my house, and that should say it all.

We had agreed on the install date of October 1st about 3-4 months in advance. We tore out our kitchen on September 25th. On sept 29th he informed my dad that he had 3-4 customers ahead of me and it would be at least another week to 2 weeks. I checked back just about every week and it was always, " we will have them ready next week." He has just about every excuse in the book. This went on for months. By then it was too cold to do dishes in my patio so I moved to the bathtub. Finally the boxes were installed on November 16th. Then I had to wait til December 15th for my drawers, doors, lazy Susan. The installers were going to leave without the handle holes cut and told me they don't do that after Steve had already promised me this do I had to hold back the final payment. They came the next morning and finally finished everything. So after being 11 weeks past the original promised install date I had a beautiful set of cabinets. Pushing out my cabinets so long put me out an extra 4 weeks for my countertop install so I wasn't able to cook/bake/wash dishes for the holidays. I didn't get everything promised such as the lazy Susan in by bottom corner cabinets or my corner bread box and the finish work isn't top notch but I'm happy with the outcome. The tile contractor came out to install my backsplash and the cabinets aren't level either. So double check the finish work. But If you're on a budget and have 6 months to wait I think you'll be happy with his work just do not tear out your kitchen til you see the finished cabinets in his shop!

Ron came out and gave us an estimate of the repair, and a detailed description of how they would fix it. The repair required our shower doors to be removed and replaced by a glass professional, the shower dam to be repaired and part of our wall to be removed, dried-out and re-plastered and painted. Not only was the repair completed quicker than I expected, but everything that was completed was beautifully-done, right down to the replacement of our bathroom baseboard exactly as it had looked when it was brand new. I would highly recommend Ceramic Designs for any tile repairs you need in your home. I have zero complaints about their work.

Within one year, the cabinets began to chip and peel, and I was told it was because of water. Scott repainted one small section in front of the sink. It began to peel again in a short time. I called him again, but he was not receptive to repainting any more. I became obsessed with keeping the cabinets dry, which is hard to do in a kitchen. Now, ten years later, paint is peeling off everywhere, and not near water areas. I am so disappointed. These cabinets are beautiful, and I love them, but many sections need to be redone. I had my laundry room redone a few years ago by a different cabinet maker. They are also painted. So far, not one chip, no evidence at all of the paint degrading. I can tell it is a far superior paint job. I know a step had to be skipped in my paint job at Mandina's now that I have a comparison. I am so disappointed.
