We did a much needed renovation on our kitchen this past late winter. With nothing more than measurements, Keane Axtman designed our perfect kitchen. He was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions. My husband and I put the cabinets together and installed them ourselves. The price great, and the people are even better. Keane is my go to for every project, and I've done five kitchens so far this year. I recently left a review about terrible service where they added $5000 onto their quote and said it's because they made a mistake. They responded to my review saying please give me your contact information so we can make this right. I sent all contact information and they never responded. But at least it looks good to leave a response to my review claiming to make things right. I found the same cabinets through Universal factory direct out of New Hampshire for $1000 cheaper, and they weren't even running a 40% promotion at the time. They deliver fully assembled cabinets without sales tax for cheaper. read more

Ordered cabinets from the Scarborough Me store. When they were delivered, 1 cabinet was damaged, 3 had broken cam locks, and 2 cabinets were not delivered. When called for assistance, there was no concern about Cabinets to Go mistake. I was hung up on, transferred, told in their terms "what standard business practice is", and forced to speak to call centers where I could not understand due to accent of people on the phone. There solution is 10-14 business days they "may" get us the missing product and broken parts. Meanwhile I have contractors walking off the job and do not have kitchen. NO CONCERN from Cabinets to Go still. Customer service means nothing to them. Their mistake is going to cost me money, and time. Buyer Beware, just because they have an in person store, it does not mean they will follow through with their commitment. The store directs you to call centers. read more

Consider your options very carefully before letting anyone from this company into your home or wallet. I am STILL having issues and unfortunately this kitchen probably won't last me these next five years. The installation occurred between 2/17-8/5 and cost me about $10,000 for a kitchen and pantry. CTG offered me a $500 credit for the "inconveniences", which is not enough for the time and resources (of my own) that were wasted. There were so many issues to recall, but I will cover the highlights. 1. I Paid over the phone for measurements to be taken on 10/9, installer doesn't show until 2 weeks later. Called Scarborough location on 11/8 to see where the design was after being told it would only take "a few days". Bree guarantees me a design that day (pretty confident I slipped her mind). The design is the opposite of everything I asked for (white cabinets, butcher block, vent hood, farmhouse sink). I got a microwave above the stove, stone countertops, a breadbox on the counter, NO dishwasher (she removed it?), and no farmhouse sink. I Called the store and spoke with Keane, who told me Bree would reach out again. 3. Bree calls, and I also explain that the design she sent for the pantry doesn't look right. She asks me to get a tape measure and remeasure the pantry. (A service that I thought I paid for)? Then I am told that CTG does not sell the sink that I want, and I will have to order elsewhere. I am told there is only one sink that will work with this design ($1,200 sink). She confirms on the phone and I order the sink (it was the wrong sink). 4. I paid in full for the cabinetry on 11/16/21. Was told the installer didn't have time to get to me before the new year and I should get a call in January. 5. On 1/10/22 I still haven't heard anything, so I call the store. No one calls me back to schedule. Called again on 1/17, no one calls back, I called again on 1/24 and 1/31. I finally got a text from the installer on 2/1 confirming the 2/17 installation. From that text forward I received NO communication from anyone at CTG or Installed Right (the third-party installer they use). 6. Installation day is here, and I took the day off work. No one from Installed Right shows, I was stood up. 7. CTG asks if the materials are at my house (they're not). I get told they must find them. A few hours later I get a call they're at the Manchester warehouse. They would not get delivered until the week after. This was not going to work as I had demolished my kitchen and had no running water/stove, and I went down to pick them up myself (THIS HAPPENED TWICE). No one offered to help load the truck. 8. Jeff was a terribly inconsistent installer. He mentioned multiple times this was his "part time gig". He would often show up at 4/5 PM and stay into the 9:30 PM hours. He would also tell me he was coming a certain day and then would not show. This happened 3 times. 9. The last day of install I was called down at 9:47 PM to sign his paper he said verbatim "this is how I get paid; I will come back and attach the countertops and make any other adjustments you need". He would not cut the hole for my sink which is made of butcher block and claimed that it was a plumber's job to do. So, it cost me $400 to have a CARPENTER (not plumber?) cut the hole. He came back to glue the counter and left without saying anything. 10. There were so many issues with the cabinetry (falling apart, no caulking, cracks, dents, missing paint etc.) that installed right had to send another employee (Nick) on 4/5/22. 11. After many attempts to get Nick to come back and correct the issue, I finally got confirmation that he would be there 6/10/22. I waited and was STOOD UP AGAIN. 12. 7/1/22 a THIRD installer comes to the house to make minor adjustments and returns 8/5/22 to complete the job. Unfortunately, he did not replace an item that was supposed to be replaced - he instead smeared caulk around it to "blend" the crack. Also, the drawers that he "fixed" are still not closing right. read more

We have one beautiful kitchen! It is a small space, but the design by Justin gave us plenty of room. We had Jeff as our installer. He guided us through the planning, and once we started, everything fell into place. Justin and Jeff worked with us, even when we asked to add a cabinet. All with good humor. I worked with one of their specialists to design our kitchen. The process was smooth, they delivered on time and the quality of the product was as expected. However, they admittedly made a mistake with the design and a piece of cabinet I ordered in fact could not work in our space. When I brought this to their attention, they admitted that it was their responsibility, but they would not allow me to return the cabinet piece because we had assembled it. But how could we have known it would not fit in the space unless we had assembled it? It looked perfect in their computer program. Despite politely pushing back on their return policy.they refuse to issue a refund. So very disappointing and hard to believe. Not to mention, with this now missing piece our kitchen design does not work nearly as well. What started off as a great experience left me a very a very dissatisfied customer. I wish I had read reviews before entering Cabinets to Go in Scarsborough, ME on July 17, 2021. Our experience has been a nightmare. We were required to pay 100% up front before the cabinets and countertop could be ordered. We were told all cabinets were in stock except for 1 which would be backordered and would take 4-6 weeks to receive. Our formica counters were fabricated in Maine and told it would be a few weeks to have them installed. The nightmare began with a counter color I did not pick, then it went downhill from there with incorrect measurements, broken countertop received, washing dishes in our bathroom sink for three weeks until the cabinets could be installed. The installer fortunately was able to install our sink on a piece of plywood so we could use that as the counters were not in until December. The dishwasher could not be put in until the countertops were in, so we were without that for 5 months. Poor customer service, lack of communication, tears and emails of frustration to find out another mistake had been made followed. It is January 8, 2022 and I still have an incomplete kitchen. And the nightmare continues as the (now 2 cabinets backordered) came in 2 weeks ago and contractor was a no-show. We are at out wits end. read more

We have had a terrible experience with Cabinets To Go. We ordered our cabinets in February and were told 4-6 weeks. Our cabinets finally came in in July or August. During our months of waiting, we tried multiple times to reach out for a status, but it was insanely difficult to get anyone to respond. We honestly thought we were being ghosted by the company. They weren't able to start install until later in September, which wasn't a big deal because we understand that they are busy, but we didn't learn until after our sink was removed that counters weren't going to be put in until at least November. When the contractor originally came to our house, he told us he could do the plumbing and electrical work, as well as remove the tiles on the wall, which we thought was great. When he showed up to do our cabinets, he said none of that was in our contract so it wouldn't be covered, which was frustrating. We were also told that install would be 2-3 days, but it has taken multiple weeks. When we try to talk to someone, no one, except for the installer, seem to care. I wouldn't recommend this company. read more
