    Roasted cauliflower with pesto.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Tijuana. This location of Caccio is across the street from the Estadio Caliente. Valet parking is free of charge. We went for dinner on a Saturday night three weeks ago, and the place was absolutely packed. The mayor of Tijuana was there enjoying a meal, so this is definitely a place favored by the local crowd. Make a reservation to be safe. The space is not very large, but it has a small patio area with 3-4 tables for outdoor dining. The decor is spartan and modern. Tasty drinks, and they have an extensive selection of wines from Baja, which is nice to see. The food was excellent. The menu is on the smaller side, but you can tell they're sticking with what works (pasta, pizza, and roast chicken, which you can order whole or half). For appetizers we ordered the grilled cauliflower with pesto, which was delightful. Pasta for entrees (orecchiette) with lamb ragu, and it was perfectly cooked al dente and the sauce was thick and savory. Service was on point considering the place was packed. In terms of COVID measures, all servers wear face mask and face shields. But the tables are somewhat close together, so if that's an issue, you may want to wait for one of the outdoor tables. Price wise the meal was very reasonable, around $60 for one appetizer, four drinks, and two entrees. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the mood for some great pasta.

It's a nice spot to go to if you're craving some pasta. The drinks are done well and the service is decent.

I always have to start pizza reviews out by saying "I'm a New Yorker." I say that because it's…read moretough to judge other places, cities, restaurants, etcetera. I do my very best to remain neutral with everything in life, especially when having to review pizza (lol). I found this place online as I have been searching high & low for a good solid pizza place. there is one other place I want to try & hopefully soon I will. standby for that review. anyway it is right off the beaten path. it is definitely hiding in this tiny little, two story plaza. also I was driving home so I did take out, but they have a lot of motorcycles (for delivery) if you prefer delivery. let's start with the easiest one first, the price for what I received was great. It was $19 or 380 pesos. I bought an XL size pizza & I purchased a small because I don't eat dairy (very rare & only when it's on pizza) so I could try there sauce, the cheese, & most importantly the crust. I'm a purest at heart. the first pizza was the small cheese pizza. to be honest it wasn't that great. Mexico has delicious cheese in general & I just wasn't impressed. the sauce wasnt a great combo with the cheese. the crust, however was sweet & doughy, & tasty. definitely not your typical pizza crust, which neutrally speaking it was really very, very good. the second pizza was an XL pizza NO cheese, extra sauce, & all the veggie ONLY fixings. That pizza was very tasty, which confirmed my review of the cheese. It was a completely different pizza. crust tasty, veggies tasty (lots of them & I didn't order extra), sauce tasty with everything together. the veggies were a little dry & the pizza itself looks very dry, but I can assure you it wasn't. again, not your typical pizza crust. that's not bad or good. if you are a pizza lover, than you might not love this. I however did, because I'm also (occasionally) a sweets person, & this crust tasted more like the consistency of a plain, non glazed, non sugared, donut. as a vegan, next time, I even thought of purchasing the XL pizza & taking it home & putting soyrizo or other "not" meats on the pizza to add even more value to it. the staff was nice & friendly. they did not speak English, but that's ok because I like practicing my Spanish so I can get better. overall, my experience would take me back here. thank you & muchas gracias por los servicios prestados.
