I'm sure that where your lot is makes a difference…read more I like that the lots were spaced a bit and we weren't packed in like sardines and had lots of shade and greenery instead of just looking at other RV'S cramped together, row after row. Of note & sort of charming, were a couple of free range beautiful chickens and a gorgeous rooster that make their way through the park periodically. We are new at this and have only stayed at a few places close to home to try to get a handle on the RV life. We have a new Winnebaga Intent and there is a lot to learn. We stayed for a month and were parked across from someone who lives there permanently who had some very cute kittens running around for entertainment. Only 4 miles from a very nice beach community as well as the beach itself! Nice amenities. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Not fancy but pleasant and peaceful. What is not to like?

It was within walking distance of one of my friend's houses, and I somehow thought it was part of the neighborhood. This place may be cleverly disguised, but there is a lot to see and do, and this has one of the best inland walking paths in all of Port Ornage. The Good: Walk it off: Honestly the thing I like the most about Spruce Creek is the different walking trails. They go around the park, and even continue over the water, and everything is just beautiful. I used to come here all the time with friends and it was a cool spot to hang out. And if you're going on a mid-afternoon stroll with someone special, you really can't go wrong with this place. The trail is about 3 miles long, but even so, it feels very short. Nice and quiet: Aside from the occasional field trip, this place is almost never crowded. This could, of course, be due to the fact that this place is huge, and even when there are a lot of people you just don't notice them. Spend the day: While there's not really a whole lot to *do* per se, there are picnic tables and playground equipment. If you are trying to spend a nice relaxing day out, Spruce creek is the perfect place The Bad: N/A Spruce creek is a very peaceful and tranquil place to go visit, away from the noise of Daytona Beach. He came to my camper, appeared intoxicated, and was beating on my door while angrily confronting me about a deck that I had no choice to build because the whole place floods and the owners refuse to address it. I told him to get away from me and specifically asked that management come speak with me so the issue could be handled through them instead. Rather than management addressing my concerns about his behavior, I was the one removed from the campground because I told the employee to "get the fuck away from me." I don't deny saying it. I absolutely did. But I said it while telling an employee who appeared drunk and was angrily beating on my door to leave me alone and get management. That's what bothers me most about the entire situation. Management had an opportunity to come speak with me, hear both sides, and address the behavior of their own employee. Instead, I was removed. I later learned that I was not the only camper who had experienced serious problems involving this employee. Since then, I have researched the situation further and found publicly available records that raised additional concerns for me. I'm not going to speculate about anyone's motives or claim that an arrest or charge is a conviction, but I strongly encourage prospective campers--especially families and long-term residents--to do their own research and make their own judgment. Eight months later, I'm writing this because I think future campers deserve to know what my experience was. If an employee can show up at a camper's door apparently intoxicated, beat on the door, initiate a confrontation, and management's response is to remove the camper for telling that employee to get away from them, that's a campground I cannot recommend.

The office gave us a list of available sites and let us choose one. When we needed to extend our stay another week they were very accommodating and again let us choose from the empty sites. Campground is mostly permanent residences and snow birds. Beautiful pool area and tiki bar. Sites could be better marked with numbers and on a few hookups are on two sides of the camper making it difficult unless you have long hoses. Picnic tables are in poor shape. Free WiFi. Overall this wasn't a pleasure campout for us, just a place to stay and sleep. We will visit again

But we had fun here anyways. Camping. Fishing. Boating. Watching the Kennedy Space Center launches. Very friendly hosts and considerate neighbors. Linda and Del are great, very friendly and reasonably priced. The location is fantastic, right on the water with great views. The sunrises are spectacular! And the dolphin are almost always playing around in the channel. They have full hook ups, including 50 AMP service, WI-FI, cable hook ups, showers and on site laundry facilities if you need them. So, whether your stay is for RV camping, fishing or renting one of their on site cabins, I recommend trying Mosquito Lagoon! It will be a fun stay.

Life is going along as usual and then this pandemic hits. As a travel nurse, I was asked to leave…read moremy home in the port orange area to go out and help a hospital I had previously worked with in California for 6 weeks and so off I went. The problem.... what do I do when I return to help protect my high risk family members from a potentially life threatening illness? One that I have been exposed to in caring for these patients. An illness that sometimes has no symptoms for weeks at a time. My troubles were laid to rest after an inquiry and short conversation with Micheline Fortier, the resort manager, at Daytona Beach RV Resort regarding the possibility of a short term rental to quarantine. Micheline and the staff at the resort were incredibly generous and informed me that they would have a cabin set up and ready for me upon my return and that they were refusing to take payment for my 2 week stay as a thank you. I was blown away! Thee staff at the resort were extremely helpful and accomadating as my travel schedule changed several times due to fluctuations in the caseload out west. I was expecting a small cabin with bare necessities upon my arrival but was again blown away with the accommodations! It was one of about 20 in a group of beautiful, brand new, modular home type cabins. The unit was stocked with all essential linens, plate ware, furniture, and appliances. I spent most evenings relaxing on the fan cooled, furnished front porch. The park was quiet. Clean and the other guests were all friendly and fun. What I thought was going to be a drudging 2 week quarantine turned out to be a peaceful staycation retreat and I was really sorry to let the cabin go at the end of my stay. I will definitely be recommending the accommodations here to friends, family, and other traveling professionals in the future. And I wouldnt at all be surprised if I stay here for a few days in the future to hideout from life and just unwind. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift and retreat by the

We ended up here at the cabins, because it was the only place on the Disney property that could…read morehold 6 people in the same room, but it is more than a room, it's a small house which has a full kitchen, including basic kitchen equipment, indoor and outdoor dining table, two separate tvs, one with a DVD/VHS player,and 2 double beds and a set of bunk beds, in a precious campground setting complete with wildlife. We saw bunnies, deer, armadillos, many varieties of birds. There is a wonderful bus system that connects your camping area to all places in Fort Wilderness as well as to the main buses which take you to all of the other parks and there is also a boat system which is a wonderfully relaxing ride to the Magic Kingdom. It is critical to understand the bus/boat/tram transport system at Disney World, but then it makes life so easy! The whole western theme is well done, and, as with everywhere at Disney World, has amazing attention to detail. There is even western music playing at the pools and on the buses, they do a good soundtrack on top of everything else. On grounds there are two swimming pools, horseback riding, a few stores and a couple of eating establishments, but since you have your own kitchen, you can save a lot of money if you cook a few meals in your cabin! It's a good idea to get your supplies before you get too close to the property, there aren't to many shopping options within a reasonable distance.

This was our first time staying at the cabins. I have to say it was terrible. The room with all the…read morebeds is so small. There is 1 queen and a set of bunk beds. But there is only about 18-24 inches between them and the queen is up against the wall. The floors are uneven and the bathroom was old. The cabins are right on top of each other as are the campsites. The "comfort" station near our loop was closed. The bus system within the resort is slow, we wound up renting a golf cart, but it was hard to drive and the speed varied. The boat to MK was pretty good. Buses to other locations took a long time, we finally just took our car. There are no towels provided at the pool so you must take them from your cabin and then try to get extras from mousekeeping or bring beach towels from home. Overall it was a bad experience, you're much better off at an off site hotel, you could get two rooms for the price of a cabin, you'd have more room, 2 bathrooms and many have free shuttles to and from the parks.
