    Just Beautiful

Under new management, the place has really changed. Its been cleaned up. The changes and all upgrades being made in the resort and the rental units. I just stayed in a brand new cabin, which I loved. New Years Eve 2022-23 party was amazing. I have been going for 5 years. They now have some of the nicest people we meet of all the places we have been going. Everyone is so friendly and happy in the direction the place is heading. Keep it up, highly recommended. Amazing energy, place to have fun, no complainers or drama.

Very quiet, relaxing and rustic resort. Friendly people. Nice nature walk. Very nice pool, hot tub and rec room. It even has a 9 hole par 3 golf course. I stayed in a rental trailer and it was very nice and clean It has a bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen with a full size refrigerator and living room area. There was a TV in both the living room and bedroom with cable channels. There is WiFi, the closer you are to the rec center, the better the signal is. I would return in the future.

This campground is remote enough to drown out all the noise from the outside world but close enough that in only a few minutes you can enjoy a few small town restaurants and convenient stores and lots of outdoor adventures. The turn off Highway 40 is easy to navigate even with the largest MotorCoaches or fifth wheel trailers and although portions of the road is narrow it is a nice paved road all the way into the campground so if you get confused just remember stay on the pavement and avoid all side roads which are dirt and sand. The office is staffed by a wonderful and helpful group that makes the check-in process simple and really quick if you reserved your site online. The roads inside the campground are also paved and wide enough to navigate stress free. Our site was very level in both directions and all the utilities were in close proximity and well maintained. Although there are a number of full timers here everyone we met were so welcoming and friendly and all the sites were nice and neat, I can appreciate all the rules after staying here and that's definitely the reason this place is such a gem. There are plenty of amenities including a large pool, tennis courts and a basketball hoop, a laundry mat, camp store and lots of access to the water whether or not you have a boat or plan to rent one and although I didn't use many of the amenities it's oblivious they are well maintained like everything else on the property. This is definitely "Old Florida Charm" so don't expect a ritzy MotorCoach Resort experience which is exactly what is so attractive about this place, so if you're looking for a little R&R don't hesitate to book it and hopefully you can get in, it seems no one is in a hurry to leave here...

This once was a really nice resort that we gladly called home. About 2 years ago management changed…read moreand it has since spiraled down to being a glorified trailer park. There really aren't any enforced rules and it's become a smokers and tokers paradise. You honestly cannot escape the smoke, anywhere. People smoke all around the Tikki bar, on the dancefloor, everywhere at the pool ( even in the tiny no smoking section) and vape inside the clubhouse. You actually can't get into the clubhouse or the bath/shower house without wading through second hand smoke. The premium RV sites back onto the pool so be aware that you'll be smelling smoke of all kinds all day, every day. There used to he a great manager and an entertainment director who kept things in line. Sadly they both quit after a new owner took over. Although there is a new manager, there is little to no management, certainly nobody follows any rules as there is no enforcement. It's now self governing by largely permanent residents with a few semi permanent or short term people. The concensus is that smoking everywhere is okay and we were told that If we didn't like it we should leave, or hold our breath until we don't care. I think the entertainment budget has dried up and what entertainment there is, is a product of a few talented residents. We would love to return if Eden was returned to it's former glory, but it seems that those days are long gone.

We saw bunnies, deer, armadillos, many varieties of birds. There is a wonderful bus system that connects your camping area to all places in Fort Wilderness as well as to the main buses which take you to all of the other parks and there is also a boat system which is a wonderfully relaxing ride to the Magic Kingdom. It is critical to understand the bus/boat/tram transport system at Disney World, but then it makes life so easy! The whole western theme is well done, and, as with everywhere at Disney World, has amazing attention to detail. There is even western music playing at the pools and on the buses, they do a good soundtrack on top of everything else. On grounds there are two swimming pools, horseback riding, a few stores and a couple of eating establishments, but since you have your own kitchen, you can save a lot of money if you cook a few meals in your cabin! It's a good idea to get your supplies before you get too close to the property, there aren't to many shopping options within a reasonable distance.

But there is only about 18-24 inches between them and the queen is up against the wall. The floors are uneven and the bathroom was old. The cabins are right on top of each other as are the campsites. The "comfort" station near our loop was closed. The bus system within the resort is slow, we wound up renting a golf cart, but it was hard to drive and the speed varied. The boat to MK was pretty good. Buses to other locations took a long time, we finally just took our car. There are no towels provided at the pool so you must take them from your cabin and then try to get extras from mousekeeping or bring beach towels from home. Overall it was a bad experience, you're much better off at an off site hotel, you could get two rooms for the price of a cabin, you'd have more room, 2 bathrooms and many have free shuttles to and from the parks.
