The facilities are decent. The toddler rooms are outdated. The infant/toddler hall smells of urine. We went into the toddler room while the students were asleep and there was a harsh chemical smell. The lady giving us the tour said they just finished mopping (which is why the mop was left in the hall). It doesn't make sense to mop with chemicals where toddlers are laying, while they're asleep. The lady that gave us the tour was sweet. The director, Lisa, has a nasty attitude and was very unwelcoming. We decided this isn't the best place to send our daughter. read more

My experience at Cadence has been nothing but great . His teacher Ms.Myeshia is an amazing teacher . My son made dramatic changes within 2 weeks of being in her class . He had a very limited vocabulary and was an extremely picky eater when he started .. 2 months into school he now eats a wide variety of foods and has picked up so much on his vocabulary . I couldn't be more pleased with the progress his teacher has made with him . We love Ms.Myeshia so much !! The office staff is also very friendly and helpful . Anytime I've called with any question or concern they help me immediately . Mrs.Lisa has also made this new journey go supper smooth . I would definitely consider myself an over protective mom but I can say with no doubt that my child is safe and well taken care of . read more

My son is in Ms. RJ's class, and I literally can't say enough good things about her! He is so excited to go to school every day, and in the car each morning, he talks about how he's going to hug her when we arrive. She has worked hard to develop individual relationships with all of the children in her care. She knows what's going on with them because she's legitimately interested in their lives and in figuring out how to better serve them in the classroom. My 2-year-old frequently tells me that she loves him -- he can feel that deep love from her. That means a lot to me as a parent because I know I'm leaving him with someone who truly cares for him. Her artistic talents combine with her precise attention to detail to create a beautiful classroom, but the best part is that the decorations aren't at all "stuffy." They are comprised of the children's work and photos, including family photos from home. My son is always excited to show me that something he made is hanging up in the room. Ms. RJ is one of those people who you meet and just instantly feel safe and welcome around. Her light shines brightly for all to see, and I am so glad my son gets to be in her classroom. She welcomes all parents to be involved and finds opportunities for the children to do special activities. My child is growing as a whole person under her care, not just academically. I love that he's so loved! The bottom line is she's amazing, and every child should be so lucky so have a teacher this caring and wonderful. She truly goes above and beyond. read more

We changed to Cordova Christian Academy after having a bad experience with another preschool (our son, who was 3 at the time, was being labeled as disobedient and aggressive both traits that he did not ever display at home). From the moment we walked into the school, we could feel that the energy was completely different. Everyone was jovial, happy, and energetic. We had a long talk with the Director, Ms. Lisa, who really talked us through the different strategies that they use to effectively teach children and how they create a positive learning environment, while still allowing children to be children. Our son was placed with Ms. Shanade, who is truly God sent. Our son soon returned to his loving and silly personality and he had no behavior issues (I remember once walking in on him playing in the gym and Ms. Shanade told me, "mom it's okay they are boys, and they are just playing and not hurting anyone.). He's learned so much (and it warms my heart to see him develop a passion for learning) and has matured into this little responsible young man. It's these types of reassurances that have made CCA feel like more than just a school, but a family. The love that they've showed our son means the absolute world to us, and I'm excited to have our son continue on to Pre-K this upcoming school year. read more

We have been beyond pleased with Cordova Christian Academy. From the first time I spoke with Mrs. Lisa, I was blown away. I submitted a contract request form and she returned my call promptly. We set up a tour the next day. The building and class rooms were clean, and it truly had a good vibe to it. I immediately knew that I would be okay leaving my baby there. I was very impressed with all of the teachers we met. They were friendly, attentive to the children in their class, and took the time to speak to us. They were engaged with the kids and appeared (and still do) that they wanted to be there and pour into the kids there. My 3 month old is in the infant room with his regular teachers Ms. Joy and Ms. Bianca. We love them and we have been very pleased with all of the rooms and teachers. One thing that helped me as a first time mother, was letting my son go shorter days the week before I went back to work. Mrs. Lisa suggested this and I would never have even considered it. My husband and I were able to work out our schedule and figure everything out before I started work. Today, I was able to attend the Valentine's party and really enjoyed meeting some of the other moms. We love the app that we get with updates about our little guy throughout the day. My little one started at CCA 2 months ago, when she was 8 months old. She's our first and somewhat shy, and so naturally, we were nervous! Ms. Fab, Ms. Ann, and Ms. Kenyotta have been nothing short of amazing. They take such great care of all the kids, and it's obvious how much they love them. Our minds are totally at ease and our little one loves coming to school. It's so fun to see how much she is picking up from such a warm and inviting atmosphere outside the home. My wife and I placed our 2 yr old and new baby in this daycare. Initially, it seemed okay, albeit a bit highly priced. Then, they began shuffling our older son between 3 rooms everyday where we had to hunt him down at pick up and the director acted as if we were stupid for asking why. They destroyed Tupperware sent for his lunch (he has significant Food allergies), they lost his epi pen, and allowed him to get dairy all over his right arm and face, causing significant swelling for days. The director would not provide Benadryl because there wasn't a MD note that said it was okay, even though we authorized it. Had to get MD note (pay co-pays) for them to give OTC meds including diaper rash cream. The director doesn't know how their own notification system works, she's condescending, and makes up rules as she goes. She has ambushed my wife repeatedly like she's a child because she (Lisa, the director) or her teachers did not provide info my wife needed. For example, our son began throwing up at school and we were not notified. When my wife came to get him, she was ambushed by this idiot nearly yelling at her asking why she didn't come get him and that he can't come tomorrow. She was then educated on her own policy (children can't come for 24 hours if they are sent home for being sick or have a fever, neither of which occurred). Lisa is incompetent and should never be trusted with any child's well being. Their corporate office doesn't care either, as they just forwarded my complaint to her. This location, and the company, is a joke. Don't take your children here! read more

My child has been at CCA since he was two years old. He is now 4 years old and on his way to Kindergarten August 2020. He loves coming to school. We love the office staff as well as the classroom teachers. He has grown and learned so much in his time at CCA. I went and toured the facility three weeks ago, they told me they had a spot available for her to start the following day if i so choose. So i had my mom check my daughter out of her current school to make sure she liked it. They toured it facility the following Monday. I had my mom pay the registration fee and book fee that day. When i called to see about her starting the next Monday they informed me she couldn't start till the end of may(this was the middle of April) i said no that's not gonna work. Mind you my mom had already paid the registration fee etc. so i asked the lady for my money back due to them MISINFORMING me that she could start right away. She said it was none refundable. After that they magically found my daughter a spot but despite that i was left with a bad taste in my mouth about this place. I have now found another day care and I'm still working to get my money back. I've called the daycare 5 times just this week to get it back no one returns a call so finally today after repeatedly calling until someone answered the phone the director Lisa answered the phone and said she would call me back after closing down. Guess who didn't get a call back? You guessed right, me. So guess who's writing this angry review? Ding,ding,ding right again, me! Do not send your kid here we didn't even get enrolled and had issues from day one. Look into little bears daycare or we love kids! In Bartlett much MUCH better options and cheaper as well. read more
