Great coffee and quiche. They provide covers for outside dinning to help their guests stay warm. Very reasonably priced.

This restaurant is more about its famous owner than the food. Antonio Banderas, a native of Málaga,…read moreis rumored to own the restaurant and live in the condominium adjacent to its patio dining area. People come in the hope of sighting this celebrity, crowding the restaurant at all hours and overwhelming its staff. Our server pointed us to a QR code on the cocktail menu so we could look up what's on offer. This menu gave ONLY the names of the dishes on offer, WITHOUT any description of the dish or its sides. Nor did the server have the time to describe them to us. Service was a 2, at best, while the food was a 3. If you're looking for good food and good service, there are plenty of other options in Málaga. If you choose a place to eat on the off chance you will see a movie star, this is the place for you.

The place is actually very nice on the inside with barrels of liquor and old bullfighting posters. I was seated upstairs and tended to by a waiter with glasses who took me to my table threw the menu down and without saying a word walked away. Right off the back he had a bad attitude and didn't explain that you need to scan the QR code to see the food menu. I don't know if he heard me speaking English. I had never seen this guy before entering this restaurant. After a long while he returned to my table and asked if I would like something to drink. After reviewing the drink menu I asked if they carry sherry (Jerez). There was no sherry listed on the menu? This set him off and he went on a rant about how I need to be more specific because there is various sherries. Yes, I am very familiar with the various types of sherry but made a simple statement that none are listed on the drink menu!?! I'm thinking, the hell with the sherry and his atitude just bring me a glass of verdejoI never raised my voice or anything, but he did, as if I'm a problem. He takes his time returning to my table to take my order, but finally does. Okay, at this point I'm noticing everyone around me that came after me was being served their food!?! I don't know if he purposely put in my order late? Nothing I ordered needed to be cooked. I ordered cheese, bread, olives, and jamon. After waiting long while, I flag him down to see if there is some sort of problem in the kitchen. He answers me with a bad attitude and walked away still talking in this huge dining area where everyone is talking. There was no way I was going to be able to hear what he was saying as he answered walking away. Okay, once again I am waiting and now I am starting to become a little angry because obviously he has a problem with me. So once again I flag him down and let him know that he is walking away from me as he answers my questions therefore I cannot understand anything he is saying. Well this time he said that locals talk fast which is why I can't understand him! Little did he know that I am very fluent in Spanish and have never had a problem understanding anyone speaking to me in Spanish!?! At this point, I started to see red and began to raise my voice and create a seen because he insulted me and blamed me for not understanding him. This person (OP. Isidro) should not be working in any restaurant insulting people he has never met before. At this point, I just wanted the bill to pay and leave. As a result, I cannot recommend anyone stopping by this place and having the same experience that I had.

That said, we sat at the bar so we were able to watch them make all the drinks. Each was approximately 98% lime soda, with a splash of Rioja wine. What an overpriced joke. Complete tourist trap. The terrace is located on the roof of a Hotel and you can get there with a lift. There are two small areas left and right with open views on one side only and just wall of the other. The floor space is overrun by seating furniture to maximice profit leaving little space to walk around. When we arrived we luckily found a place to seat on the nice comfy white sofas located by the open side on the right area however as we were waiting for the waiter to come to order, the woman from a group of four with a baby that came with us in the lift but went to left area first, came to us as she saw us well seated and asked us to seat somewhere else because they were more people than us for that space. She made the request sounded as a command which we very politely declined as the rest of the seating options were really worse off and we knew there was plenty of space for them available in the left area where there are only tall tables and chairs (sorry tall chairs are uncomfortable for everyone) She left annoyed and little after the waiter came to say that we should move somewhere else as the sofas were for groups. We said we didn't mind sharing the sofa area with others as we understood there were 4/5 seats more available but they refused saying it was company policy to use that wider sofa space for groups only. There were two other wider sofas spaces like that in "u"shape, one with two people and three in the other so we found the explanation and the whole situation very unfair, arbitrary but also found humiliating to be told to move whilst people around were looking at us, so we decided to go instead and as we left, without an apology, we had to hear the voice of the uneducated local woman with the baby that came from somewhere in the crowd saying in a loud and sarcastic tone "gooood bye" to top the cake. A sense of entitlement that clearly was enabled by the way the terrace decided to address the situation, as we could know understand that she probably went to rant to the waiters that we were seating there instead of them. Very embarrassing scene for me and more for my friend, who just wanted to impress me. As Spaniard, I am usually quite proud of the customer service in Spain but this place is really not at all an example. I also felt as if I had been local I would have been treated differently. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but not only because it is small and their lack of professionalism and just money over customer care, but also because if you are a couple or two friends you will never be able to seat in the sofa area by the open side of the terrace according to their "policy", which is really the only worthy area in the small terrace. Also apparently is a good idea to bring a few months old baby in a buggy to a cocktail bar with not food service in the evening, which at least in the U.K. is not legally allowed. There are many rooftop terraces in Malaga with far better views, facilities and friendly customer service that really know how to make people, locals or not locals, feel welcomed.
