Cute corner cafe with two tiers inside and seating outside as well. The interior is well lit from all the windows and the staff is polite. I've been here a few times now and the coffee was great. The breakfast food is simple but in a good way. I still need to try out their desserts but if they're anything like everything else I'm sure it will be tasty. read more

While visiting Berlin (Mitte) we were starving and looking for a place for lunch. We came across Cafe Bondi. It was definitely a great find. The food was fresh and really tasty. We shared two plates, the gnocchi with mushrooms and the pulled chicken sandwich. I thought both of them were outstanding, my friend thought the chicken a bit too salty. The atmosphere is cute and unassuming. Order your food at the counter and then they serve it to you. Simple wooden tables and benches on the main level and a few tables outside. The reason this was only four stars was because by the time we got there, half of the items on the lunch menu were unavailable. read more

I love this cafe. If you can get the bread and scrambled eggs, do! They were, honest to god, the best eggs I've ever had. If you get the right spot, you can catch a glimpse of the chef chopping vegetables for the rest of the day's faire, and oogle the shiny, neon espresso machine.The coffee is also really good and the place has a calm, almost Zen-inspiring atmosphere. Eggs Benedict come not on the advertised sourdough but on some sort of warm white bread, two limp slices of bacon, over cooked egg, the hollandaise is more like a lukewarm mayonnaise and there's an unwelcome rocket salad with balsamic dressing on the side. Very delicious food! We had a salad with vegetables and feta and it was absolutely amazing. Also the pulled pork sandwich was tasty. You can si outside quietly and enjoy the sun. Coffee: also good! The waitresses always seem to be kind of grumpy though... But we'll definitely go back! read more

It's ridiculous that Cafe Bondi is number one on the list of gluten free breakfasts in Berlin when they have no gluten free options other then not serving the items that contain gluten while still charging for them. Sure you can have poached eggs and avocado and grilled tomatoes but there are no gluten free breads to replace the bread included with their breakfasts as well as no gluten free cakes pastries or anything else. Good breakfast but not any thing offered for gluten free folks. read more

Disappointed! Been wanting to try this place since I got to Berlin, finally made all the way here. To see them clearing the tables outside almost an hour before closing. My friend asked if they were still serving food and she said "just cakes and coffee" so you can't serve a salad or anything on the last hour? Unheard of. read more

After reading the reviews and descriptions of Café Bondi we were excite to try it! Unfortunately it wasn't up to par with our expectations. They Scrambled eggs were wonderful, but it did not come with the sourdough bread as stated on the menu. It was subbed for a multigrain bread which I can't have as I am allergic to many seeds. I wasn't a fan of the grilled tomato but the salad was okay. Overall I wouldn't go back but it wasn't the worst breakfast I've had. read more

Great coffee, pretty wide selection of drinks and food for such a small neighbourhood Café. Clientele can sometimes be a bit heavy on the creative types, as is often the case in Berlin Mitte. Service used to be friendly, but has been a bit aloof, sometimes even arrogant, of late. And what's the matter with the mushy cakes? They seem to disintegrate into mousse on your plate and sometimes taste like they haven't been baked properly. Recommended within certain limits. read more

The sour-faced, rude owner ruins everything! After finishing our breakfast I was sitting with my coffee and reading a book when approached by the owner and asked if she can give my table away to someone else. on a sunday morning. my cup was still half full, we paid 25 euros for our breakfast. what good is a relaxed weekend brunch if you're kicked out before you even finish your coffee because the owners are too greedy? Living just around the corner we have given this place more than one chance, it's not about one bad day, this has also happened to us in the middle of the week.
