My most recent visit was an early morning where I think we caught them a little off guard. It would seem the college crowd doesn't make it in until after 10 on the weekends. It seems like it is worth it to look them up online and have a good idea of what you want beforehand. This is one of those spots where there is a large menu behind the counter and some small paper menus by request. Basically it forces you into that awkward engagement before you've really had a chance to check things out. A West Coast Breakfast Sandwich on a Bagel with a Mocha hit the spot for me. Portions are modest, so you don't have to worry to much about overeating. It was a nice way to break up the holiday weekend monotony. I was lucky and snagged a parking space in front of the business; their parking is VERY limited and I'm surprised I didn't have to use a lot that was across a bridge. (Note that the bridge is right by the coffee shop, so it wouldn't have been a long trek at all.) I ordered a Butterscotch Latte and a Sausage, Biscuit & Egg breakfast sandwich; snagged a seat near the front of the store; and settled in for a relaxing break between my hikes. The coffee was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot! While seating in the lower level is limited, I've learned reading other reviews that there is an outdoor patio and an upper level too. Their website mentions that they run a sundry market here too; however I didn't spend much time shopping in the interest of not stretching my wallet too far during my travels. I also didn't check out the wine cellar in the lower level. While this shop is little, it clearly has a lot to offer, and I am so glad I found it during my visit to Cuyahoga. I'd absolutely stop by again during future visits to the area...and I'd love to time my next visit so I can check out that wine cellar!

Baristas are friendly and always make you feel like valued customers. They support local artists by selling local goods and rotating artwork on the walls, so make sure to check those out too. Prices have increased over the years so it's not the cheapest coffee around, but I think this is expected in today's economy and the regulars don't mind. Support local and check them out :)

The tuna salad sandwich came with lettuce, tomato and a bag of chips. It was delicious and you could tell it was very fresh. They have a large variety of non-alcholic drinks, great coffee, and very good sweet tea. They also have ice cream with countless toppings. I didn't have room to try some, but the cups of ice cream the other customers had looked great. The customer service was outstanding. Fancy Strawberry is a real gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick lunch or an ice cream or drink treat.
