This experience was pretty good overall. The shopping area is adorable with tons of niche items for purchase. I also appreciate a place that caters to folks who are gluten free and/or vegan. I will say that the two desserts that I tried were okay overall. The cupcake was definitely better than the donut. This place is so cute! It has indoor and outdoor seating, a little market and a bakery/coffee shop. While we didn't try anything off the menu we did grab a few bakery items to go. We got carrot cake (this was my favorite), a brownie (the brownie was very rich and a little too sweet for my but my hubby loved it) and a sugar cookie which were all gluten-free. They had wonderful looking cinnamon rolls but sadly they were not gluten free so I didn't get one. They had gluten free sweets and breads. I talked to the manager and she told me that all gluten free foods are prepared and cooked separately from gluten containing foods and to always just let staff know you're gluten free when ordering. read more

I'll start by saying this: know your audience before deciding to come here. This spot has great food, but the serving sizes are small, and the prices are on the higher side. The menu is somewhat limited--scrambled eggs seem to be the only egg option, so keep that in mind. I ordered the pesto panini, and while it was delicious, it came as two small pieces on a plate, which wouldn't be enough to satisfy a hungry adult. They also ration ketchup which is a little ridiculous after we spent a fortune on food and drinks for 15 of us. That said, the food quality is undeniable. The salads looked fantastic--colorful, fresh, and vibrant. My mother-in-law loved her smoothie, and it was clear they use high-quality ingredients. If you're looking for flavorful, light, and fresh food, this is a great option. However, if you're dining with a hungry crowd, this might not be the place for you. Everything is so delicious and well made! Even when you get your food delivered it's well packed and well displayed and everything doesn't touch, they may use a bit of overkill on the separation using a lot of boxes but I understand not mixing some of the sides with the main dishes as to not compromise the flavors. Gluten free also and customizations are nice, a bit expensive also but what can you do right now these days but great quality. I haven't had a chance to eat at the place I always order out but the building looks nice haha read more

I did have a good experience my first time here but did want to UPDATE my review. I haven't been back to this cafe since and won't return as I found out I had a tree nut allergy once having visited the cafe. When the previous review was posted I had just ordered my food and taken pictures for yelp and sat down to enjoy my food. I ordered the BBQ Chicken as pictured below and didn't really like nuts so never ate them hence not knowing about an allergy. I figured the BBQ Chicken was pretty standard so why would it have nuts? I was so confused as my mouth had started itching and my tongue was starting to swell a bit and thought maybe I had an allergy to the CBD drink I had ordered? I looked into this and they use Cashews in almost everything! I had no idea I had an allergy but ordering something as simple as a BBQ Chicken Sandwich makes me too nervous to even risk coming back here. I had also gotten allergy tested not long after and my suspicion was correct, I was allergic to nuts so please please be aware if you are coming here to make sure you know what you're eating. I feel it's too risky to eat here if you have allergies especially with the possibility of cross contamination. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The vibe inside is very nice but it doesn't hide the fact that both times I've been there it took a pretty long time to get my food. It is very overpriced as well. Such an odd name I didn't know what to expect, but it was great! The food is freshly prepared with fresh, real, ingredients. It is not inexpensive, but it's hard to determine if the prices are because of inflation or because of the quality of the ingredients. Holy WOW!!!! I have been looking for a place like this for the longest time and, let me tell you, I am the happiest camper you ever did see!!!! I ordered the "Green Woman" smoothie, the Mediterranean bowl over spinach and arugula with the gluten free naan chips, and two gluten free, vegan donuts (raspberry and peach). IM IN ABSOLUTE HEAVEN. Great location and selection of drinks and food. I've tried the chicken sausage and BBQ chicken sandwiches and thought they were pretty good, just overpriced. However, I've heard the coffee here wasn't good, and I was underwhelmed with my drink. I got a mocha, which is usually a pretty easy drink to get right with most coffee shops, but I didn't taste the espresso at all, and it tasted watery. My companions were also disappointed with their smoothie and coffee picks. Again, this is prime location and has great potential--a lot of people on Yelp seem to love it too--so hopefully the coffee game can step up! read more

Wow! Honestly, I was very skeptical, I am not vegan or gluten-free or anything even remotely close but the blueberry muffin that I got was the best I've ever had. We specialize in healthy and delicious, allergy-friendly dining. Although we cater to many allergies (dairy/egg/wheat/soy/shellfish), we do use tree nuts in many of our menu items. Any of our dishes can be made gluten-free or vegan! Our delicious bakery is scratch made and although many do not believe it, is completely vegan.

History

Established in 2021.

Evexia opened November 29, 2021. Local couple Bryan and JJ (owners), spent over a year developing the idea, planning, and testing recipes. The building (formerly a veterinary clinic) underwent a 6 month renovation, completely renovating the interior space and adding a kitchen. Evexia means “a sense of wellness or euphoria” in Greek. We strive to serve healthy, allergy-friendly foods that are organic whenever possible, scratch-made, and most importantly, delicious!

Meet the Business Owner: JJ G.

Hi! I am an Aurora resident and trained chef who has been a stay-at-home mom to my 3 children for the past 8 years. Growing up, we had various dietary issues in our family, and so I became passionate about making healthy food that is allergy-friendly and most importantly, delicious! I work in the kitchen and fill in wherever is needed: a new business always needs something. As much work as it is, I believe it is always better to make everything from scratch, and so we do, using the best ingredients. Come visit us soon! There is something for everyone.

We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The service overall was very slow, it did take a while for water to come out, and then for our drinks to come. It seemed like somewhat of a busy night, but the service was still extremely slow. For drinks, we ordered the strawberry lemon drop, and the champagne sangria. We were told the strawberry lemon drop was sweet and that's why I ordered it. It was the exact opposite. So bitter that I had to ask to switch it because that's how bitter it was. The champagne sangria was just okay. For appetizers, we ordered the buffalo chicken spring rolls. These were OVERLY fried. It felt like I was eating fried dough with some bits of chicken. Flavor was okay, but I definitely wouldn't order these again. We also ordered a Cesar salad, and a greens salad. These were both very delicious. The Cesar salad was very good and you can request it with our without the anchovies on top. We ordered a lobster bisque soup as well which was good. For dinner, we ordered the Twin Filet Medallions. I ordered mine medium. The issue with this was that one of the filets was cooked medium, and one was cooked medium rare. The one that was cooked medium was absolutely delicious, the one that was medium rare was not as good. I was disappointed with this because I only enjoyed 1 out 2 of the filet. This dish came with a side of mashed potatoes and string beans. The plate itself was HOT, however the temperature of the mashed potatoes was warm on the outside, and then the inside was cold. For desserts, we ordered the crème brûlée, the chocolate cake, and the cheesecake. The crème brûlée was by far the best dessert. The top was nice and crispy and the flavor was delicious. The chocolate cake was huge, and also really good. The cheesecake I would not recommend because if it wasn't for the peach compote on top, it would have no flavor. It was very very bland. Overall, I would return to this restaurant and probably try different menu options. The service and consistency of the food lacked, but I would love to give it another try.

The sweet potato yam fries were delicious with aioli dip. My friend has been here around 8 times and loves it! She loves everything she has ever had here and gets something different every time. She said she'd actually eat here more if she remembered it's on the outskirts. When they move into downtown Hudson she will definitely be here more!!!
