    Moroccan lamb sakad

Beautiful views, nice aesthetic , good food. The lamb salad was good but perhaps not as good as it could have been. I was expecting wow. The coffee was good, the art a little wonky but still made well. The chicken avocado sandwich was surprisingly really tasty.

The nearby car park gives 1 hour free parking so it's easy to pop by for brunch or lunch. It's a lovely view of the city scape and boats in the harbour and you can enjoy your breakfast up on the deck of the converted waiting hall / shipping container, or on a lounge by the water. This time we opted for the couches and made friends with a nearby diners French bulldog. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. You can also sit inside if the weather isn't suitable with beautiful styling, nautically themed with blue striped cushions, decorative ropes and anchors. We loved this place last time, so we were keen to try their new menu. The menu has a more varied amount of choices at brunch. There's sweets, salads and some regular and ever popular choices. The mozzarella with avo, perfectly place on sourdough with greens and pomegranates, heirloom tomatoes and and a soft poached egg was beautiful. The roast pumpkin salad with grains, Persian feta, heirloom salad, avocado, confit onion, Pepita dukkah and herbs is the kind of dish I'd enjoy every day. Super healthy and refreshing and the pumpkin was perfectly cooked. For a sweet finish, we really liked the poached pear on brioche, toast with salted caramel, passionfruit cream, candied pistachio and lemon zest. We imagine this will be a very popular menu item.

A very interesting brunch to be had here. Serve is okay. Every time we pass this place there always…read moreseems to be a messy table screaming to be cleaned up. From my experience it has always been self seating, self getting the menu (at the counter) and self ordering (at the counter). Open air and near the water usually means you'll have a nice breeze to cool you down which is always a comfort after shopping on a hot summers day. I ordered a chai latte which was popping with flavour and had a smooth yet strong taste. Near the bottom of the mug things got sickly sweet, which was not surprising after viewing all the sugar left in the bottom once finished. I ordered the French toast, which I was warned came with bacon. I knew this already as I had read the menu. The French toast itself was pleasant with just the right amount of sweetness, the strawberries were fresh and refreshing. The maple syrup gave it that much desired sugar kick. And the pieces of fried bacon scattered across the top gave a nice salty contrast to the overall dish - think of it like a peanut butter M&M. The pricing wasn't bad. During the lunch period you may have to stand and wait for a table mind you. Would go there again.

Ducked in to get a Latte and they were all quite busy making drinks and food but I was acknowledged and didn't have to wait too long. They were very friendly. The coffee was nice and decent price (3.60 for a small).

A crowd outside the place consisted of many eager to get their hands on delicious foods everybody raves about. We weren't sure where to tell them our names to put us on the list of people waiting for a table, so we ended up in the "to go" line until we grabbed a waitress to do so. There were already people behind us in line that grabbed that waitress ahead of us, which was a little annoying, but the wait wasn't too long. I wish they had a better system for dropping names for people who want to dine in. Anywho, once we were seated, we were able to order fairly quickly, but our drinks were pretty slow to come out- essentially our food came out at the same time as our coffees. The Arabian eggs I had and the big breakfast my husband had were both delicious; no complaints there. The chili peppers in the Arabian eggs were impressively spicy, which ngl is hard to get me to say as a Korean. Staff were nice, but I wish it was a bit more organized in terms of ordering/giving our names. Two different girls asked us for our drink orders, and I saw the girls touch dirty dishes/napkins and clear them in the kitchen and then come and deliver foods and coffee without washing hands... a little upsetting to see. Overall, great food and coffee, but disappointed by staff and organization. I'd come back, but probably not the first place I'd suggest for a weekend brunch.

Housed in what was meant to be a hotel back in the day, this cafe is bustling and I'm told by my local living friend, often lines out the door on weekends. When we arrived there was no wait and we were seated straight away. The staff were friendly and polite. It's a smaller space but they make the most of it with a home-y interior. It's warm, inviting and too easy to spend a lazy afternoon here. There's an all-day breakfast menu with all the usual suspects and some stand outs like the lamb bruschetta. I was lucky enough to sample this from one of our lunch party and would definitely order should I return. On this occasion, I ordered the lamb kofta special with natural yogurt, quinoa and coriander. It was a suitably filling and soul hugging meal of comfort and everything was balanced to perfection. The coffee was strong and easily drinkable. There's a range of gluten free cakes should you not be feeling like lunch and most of the menu items can be made gluten free. The kitchen here may be small but from our experience it's certainly not limiting what they're serving!
