Absolutely love this place. I've been going here since I was in middle school. Decided to grab two dozen chocolate and glaze donuts for my co-workers here at La Fleur (nail salon). @Cafe is our neighborhood coffeehouse and donut shop with a few bonuses. The coffee is good and priced well (not upscale but very good for reasonably priced coffee and espresso drinks), the donuts are a standard Daylight Donuts franchise. The extras include boba tea and onigiri (stuffed sushi), both of which are great! This isn't technically a sushi bar, but the onigiri makes a nice snack or quick lunch. Their sign says "@Cafe Daylight Donuts", so that's what I call them ;) But they are a great donut shop on SE 12th, in the same shopping center as Tatsumaki and Land Run. It's our go-to spot to grab a dozen donuts on our way to work. The donuts are always fresh (you can see them making them in the back!) with a great variety that's well-stocked. They also keep bags of munchkins lined up for a quick grab-and-go option. I'm a savory breakfast person, so my favorite things they offer are breakfast burritos and kolaches! The breakfast burritos are the perfect size (not ginormous), with options of sausage or bacon. The kolaches are basically pigs in a blanket, and oh-so tasty! I like grabbing an iced coffee from here, too. Prices are very reasonable. Haven't tried their boba yet, but I will soon! read more

I live really close to here but just now have made my way inside. I saw the pics on yelp and thought it looked like a good place to grab a donut and coffee before heading to work or class. The donuts and the coffee are pretty good. They are nothing to go crazy about but they are worth coming back for. The staff is very helpful a and friendly. The one problem I have with this place is the atmosphere. It's so confusing. The pictures made it seem very modern and trendy. When I got here it looked like a 50 year old mom was trying to be modern and trendy. There was stand inside where they were selling jewelry, scarves, and all kinds of other things. This table that they are selling jewelry on is taking up space that 3 more tables could go. They also have a Christmas tree up that has footballs and leaves all over it. On the other side of the room they have patio furniture inside. Outlets were also all taken or hidden by the Christmas tree and jewelry table. The music was all great and fit what I thought the atmosphere should be. All in all this is a great place and I will probably come back. However, I won't come back to sit and work on anything. I think the owner is trying to hard to make this place appealing to everyone and by doing so has made it unappealing. read more

This place is great. The staff are super sweat and the food is great. They have a all sorts of coffee (lattes etc.) and boba tea too!

No more ikea chairs and no more jewelry being sold on the side! It's now a friendly coffee/donut lounge with plenty of comfortable seats, cute decor, yummy coffee and donuts! Perfect setting for a quick sit down or to stay a while. Free wifi, reasonable price, good service, and very clean! You can tell they value the customer's input and thoughts! I love @Cafe!! Its so cute!! But remember, its a "cafe" and not a restaurant, so don't expect to get anything really filling--although they have some menu items that could do for lunch ~~ like miso soup and their rice balls (which I think is good for a quick meal). They are a Daylight Donuts also, so expect Donut-type deserts, not like the pastries from a bakery. I really like their drink selections. I think its a really good price for the sizes also. With about $2.50 for a boba tea, plus its good! (at least the taro is, which is the one I always get) I just think its really cute and has a good enough selection for a cafe type setting. Stopped in here for some boba (surprise!) with the best friend and was pleasantly surprised. Donuts were tasty - maple long john and vanilla sprinkle. Boba was yummy - taro (iced) and honeydew (blended) and the boba was great consistency. Wish the cups were clear though so you could know how much boba you had to savor! Great, friendly service, however that is about the limitation of special qualities. The donuts on a saturday morning just after opening were obviously day old (or more?) And while the coffee wasn't bad, it was nothing special you couldn't find at 7-11 and lacking selection (which if it was better coffee would be fine, but went in thinking it was a decent cafe with either special coffe or donuts, but neither were stand-out). So if you're just wanting a convenient location for coffee and donuts with friendly service and decent prices, this is a great place for you. "Gourmet" however is not the word which comes to mind for a college town coffee shop. read more
