Gf Turkey and cheese - the shredded cheese was a little too much but it was yum after removing half of it

New celiac and was happy to have a gluten free sandwich! They had quite a few gf and vegan options. I didn't have any reactions which tells me they did great about avoiding cross contamination.

Love coming here whenever I'm craving something healthy and clean! I'm so sad I moved away from Norman, but my best friend and I used to come here all the time for our morning smoothies. We always got the #3 smoothie (banana, mango, and pineapple), usually with added kale or spinach, and sometimes with apple or orange juice as well. It's so tasty and never bitter! We also love their tuna sandwich, veggie chili, and lavender cake, such comforting and delicious choices every time.

I love this place. It is such a hidden gem in Norman. All the ingredients are clean and so flavorful. You can also shop from their store for groceries.

We're visiting from Los Angeles, and as anyone who's traveled knows, finding good vegan food in Oklahoma can be a bit of a challenge. But tucked right in the heart of Norman, just off Flood Avenue, is a hidden gem: The Earth Cafe & Deli -- a true vegan sanctuary. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in the calming scents of incense, earth tones, and wholesome organic food. It instantly felt like finding fresh spring water in the middle of a desert -- refreshing, grounding, and exactly what we didn't know we were missing. The space is cozy and welcoming, with Persian-style rugs across the floor, a beautiful Victorian-style ceiling, and a sweet little patio perfect for warm-weather days. It reminded us of some of our favorite old spots back home -- like The Source on Sunset, Planet Raw in Santa Monica, The Bodhi Tree in West Hollywood, or Follow Your Heart in the West Valley -- all rolled into one heartfelt, soul-nourishing place. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The vibe here is warm, kind, and familiar -- like reconnecting with an old friend. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last!

OBSESSED I only wish I had started going here sooner. The baked goods are incredible. The moon maiden is a perfect grilled cheese with sprouts and avocado on it!! I want to try more of the juices. The space is perfect, being in an old house. Parking behind the building is easy, but I haven't been there when it's been busy. The employees have all been so friendly and helpful. I always feel cozy and cared for here. Thank you!!

I'm not saying it's the worlds best vegan cafè, I just saying it's the best I've been to in ages. We ate lunch I had scrambled tofu and toast, the misses had the Reuben. Then we got one of every desert and sampled them at our leisure. The Orange cake was the star of deserts, but all were exceptional. We are just traveling through, but will be back for a final meal before leaving town. Staff were pleasant.

I love their vegan Moonmaiden sandwich with sourdough bread. It's just a delicious combination with the vegan "cheese", avocado; and sprouts. I've also had their peanut butter and honey sandwich and that was comforting to eat. Their daily soups are also very delicious! Cashier is always kind. It does take awhile to get food, usually about 20 minutes but it's worth it especially if you call ahead to order.

Every trip to The Earth leads to self-care, environmental nurture, and support of a local small business that cares about the community. Whether you order a delicious coffee, smoothie, something sweet, an entire meal or pick up groceries - many grown or produced nearby - you are guaranteed quality and service with a smile. Today I opted for breakfast tacos and a latte and got a Cowgirl Cookie to surprise a friend. There was a line, but it moved fast and my wait was shorter than expected. All remarkably fresh and delicious, as expected. The Earth is a Norman treasure, a true blessing to our community.

Ask the Community - The Earth Cafe & Deli

Is this a great place to grab food and work on some school work?

Honestly, no. It's quite a small space in the back of the store that isn't really separated, so it's easy to get distracted by other shoppers. The seating is also very limited, so I would say you would probably get some 'looks' from eaters if you're… Read more

I needed a break from the guilt! Not to mention, the older we get, successive ventures into the fried and fatty world of rich foods start to have a deleterious affect on my mood and mental sharpness as I feel more slugggish, bloated and "blechhy" by day 4 of my id locking up my superego in a basement closet. So, I opted out for going to a brewery with a co-worker and instead suggested this place which had some good reviews already and also the kind of menu that your heart and soul (as well as your guilt-muscle) can all smile about and relax. It is close the OU campus and is on a side street in the most literal sense that you pull in to the 4 space lot with your bumper inches away from the main road. Safe, but close. Street parking appears to be the alternative. We got lucky as it was late on a weekday (they close at 8) and found parking. It used to be a health food grocery store only but added a kitchen not too long ago after having success with another eat-in store on the OU campus. It is narrow, self-(and limited seating with pub-style ordering from counter where you fine their menu. The menu is laminated 10x14 I think, 2 sides including drinks so their menu is ample enough that you could find anything hot or cold, liquid or solid. The have shakes and juices made-to-order as well as a variety of deli and finger food options. Since it would be my last night in Oklahoma I tried several things to share and ended up eating them all. I had a beet, carrot and spinach juice (your choice of 8 or 16 oz)-- ahhhhhhh. There is nothing added so if you are not into juices, you will taste what ingredients you add and I love beets! While there are many vegetarian and vegan options they do include some meat. I had the bowl of veggie chili which was a hearty rendition with several types of beans, carrots and corn. It was not bland but had spices that gave it an addictive flavor. They also had a creamy soup that I declined.I also had the hummus which appeared to be white bean and was chunky as well as creamy but altogether with a mild flavor that did not conflict with the chili. I opted for carrots vs. corn chips but they do offer tortilla chips for their "build-your-own nachos" part of the menu. From the sandwich section I picked a tuna salad (that had dolphin-safe tuna and not a substitute) but I did get a taste of the not-really-chicken chicken salad and that was good too. In addition to a variety of groceries and desserts to purchase and take home they sell fresh bread. I had a slice of the 3-seed bread and it made me want to stuff myself by ordering another sandwich just so I could put anything between two pieces of their fresh bread. They had 4 kinds of bread including a honey wheat and 2 vegan offerings but I selected their 4th choice which was the 3-seed (chia, sunflower and pumpkin maybe??) My only regret was knowing that I would not be able to return until I made the trip from the east coast to Norman, Oklahoma...but it does give me a big reason to return :)
