I opted for the potatoes in a savory bleu cheese sauce, topped with fried eggs for the first course. Delicious and tender pork cheeks over potato slices in a hearty sauce was my second course. Chocolate with 'churros' small, length of a doughnut-like pastry is a traditional Catalan way to start the day, and different cafes vie with each other to sell the best chocolate. The drinking chocolate here is hard to beat it's delicious, not too sweet, and so thick it is more of a dark chocolate custard than a drink. They also sell an extensive range of sweet and savoury pastries and salads here, making it a popular venue for a light lunch. As well as a large pavement seating area at the front, there is a series of interior rooms, including a lovely conservatory and a small, secluded rear garden, complete with a small grotto and pond, home to some friendly terrapins. The interior is a good example of the Catalan 'Modernista' movement, whose best known exponent is Gaudi. It's decorated with colourful art nouveau motifs, and the colourful, Moorish-influenced tiling associated with Spain.

Since the change of ownership, the menu has remained the same, but the quality has declined dramatically. Here is my original review: We have been visiting La Punta regularly for more than six years and still consider it one of the better restaurants in Sitges. However, we have noticed a disappointing decline in quality. The octopus and Patatas Bravas used to be among the best we had ever eaten. Today, the Bravas consist of small potato pieces with cheese and dry potato chips, while the octopus, although still tender on the inside, has lost its signature crispy, smoky crust. The soy sauce served with the Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio also feels inappropriate for a dish of this quality. The heavy workload during the holiday season may well be forcing the kitchen to make compromises. We sincerely hope La Punta can return to its former standard, because only a few improvements would be needed to bring it back to where it once was. Having my reviews removed multiple times is unacceptable. The rating you see here does not reflect the quality of the food--it reflects the restaurant management's unwillingness to accept honest, constructive criticism.
