Being a paella amateur enthusiast, it was fun getting to watch the kitchen make paella (I picked up some nice tips). Really nice place. I had the pan con tomate (Barcelona, of course?) and the seafood paella. Both times I've been here I have read that the dish is for two. Both times I have offered to pay for two people just to have the paella. Both times I've been turned down and told that they would make it for one. So nice. For a solo business traveler many times that does not happen. Great of the establishment to do so. I wish there would be a little more in the paella, but what is there is so tasty! The shrimps were a bit hard to shell but other than that, no complaints. Full of ocean flavor in each of them! Iberian acorn-fed Ham was a bit disappointing though. Where's the best paella in Sitges? Quite possibly right here at Bon Estar. Whenever we come to Sitges we almost make a pilgrimage to Bon Estar to partake in their famous and fabulous Paella Marinera, Seafood Paella. Also unique and delicious is Arroz negro con Sépia y Almejas, Black Rice with Cuttlefish and Clams. This trip we went to Bon Estar twice. I tried the Prensado de Cochinillo "Bon Estar 50" which is Roasted Suckling Pig. I'm not sure what the 50 meant and the dish was not what I was expecting, thinking it would be more like a Lechon with crispy skin. Instead it came in a pastry puff shell. Paletina de Codero Asada a Baja Tempuratura, Roast Shoulder of Lamb was nice and tender. As always, the Tiramisu dessert is a highlight. It comes in a jar, and so rich and creamy! Pair it with a Cortado!
