A lovely spot, no matter the occasion. I have been here twice so far, one time on a Friday when they had DJs playing afrobeats, and another time on a Thursday where they had a jazz night. Both experiences were lovely. When you walk in, there's a bar area with some seating and then you're led into the back room that had seating for jazz that transitions into a dance floor later in the night. While I didn't try their food, it looked intriguing and I'd definitely love to try it next time. I love a simple menu but I would love to see a few more options for the food. Their cocktails looked incredible too. My friends and I shared a bottle of red wine. Our server was wonderful and helped us choose what to pick. Heads up that they include gratuity in your check no matter the size of your party. Generally, I love that Cafe Erzulie is a community oriented space that supports artists. Both times, I felt an infectious, warm energy emanating from the space as we enjoyed the wonderful music being played. I can't wait to come back!

This is a "hidden" club spot that had a live DJ with a support band. It was such a cool vibe. Definitely a great place to hangout during the weekend.

Came to this place for a jazz night, watching a friend perform here. I ordered their version of an alcoholic coffee, but without alcohol. I ordered this and the flatbread. The flatbread and hummus was great, but they still charged full price for the non-alcoholic coffee ($20). The atmosphere was great, but a bit pricey.

I went here on a Saturday night for their DJ Mike Nasty event. It was very Overcrowded to the point where it became a health hazard outside. There was no staff outside for crowd control. People were shoving and pushing. On top of that one of the bouncers was very very rude!! They also did not state that you needed cash to get in. They stated that you had to pay at the door which I was completely fine with. Establishments that I have been to usually have a card swipe when you pay at the door. This is 2021‍. I do not recommend ever going here when they have a DJ party night!! Smh You are better off going here when they have jazz night or comedy nights, when the crowd is a lot less people and you don't have to deal with a rude and obnoxious Bouncer. They need to stick to being a cafe and doing low key live performances and comedy nights and stop trying to turn into a club on Saturday night. People could have seriously got hurt and trampled over outside!! It was horrible.

Popped in on a weekday to get some work done and I was disappointed with this space. First, it was surprisingly loud for a Tuesday afternoon - not ideal when you're working remotely and need to jump on conference calls. The space is pretty small so only 3-4 tables have outlet access and they were all taken when I got in. It's also a bit too grungy/dirty for my liking. I just wanted to wipe everything down with a clorox wipe (especially with this Coronavirus madness). The barista also seemed uninterested and didn't seem warm or friendly. In any case, I already made my way in so while I couldn't stay and work I decided to grab an iced chai latte and the breakfast sandwich to quickly eat. The chai latte had great flavor but far too much milk which watered down the chai spice. While the breakfast sandwich was tasty (honey bacon was really good) but for $8 it should be bigger and the bread to egg ratio was totally off. I was disappointed because this place comes up constantly as a brunch option but I think this is best for a grab and go.

Cafe I love the ambiance and music but I would NOT recommend this location because the drinks is OVERLY PRICED and they do not have actual Food but their Haitian patty is great .

Griot sandwich and cappuccino. If you wish for a drier cappuccino I would suggest you ask.

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

Watching soccer, pretending as if I had been looking forward to Germany playing Curaçao for weeks. The occasional glance at the Chrysler building across the East River. As I worked my way through my beers, the amazing bartender perfectly timing my refills, I felt as if this may be my new place. My "get away from all the noise" safe haven. That was until I was halfway through beer three. It all got dark. I mean it literally got dark. A waitress began pulling down all the blinds, taking away the sun haven I had found myself loving. Taking away the joy I had worked so hard to achieve. That is when I knew that that beer would be my last. I did not come to a bar with a wall of windows to end up in a place darker than the Rikers Island cells mere miles away. So I ask this one question to the waitress, why? Why ruin the joy of light? Why ruin it?

For something that expensive, there should absolutely be some indication of portion size, or at minimum the waiter should mention it when ordering. Avocado toast also isn't exactly something you can box up and save for later, so a lot of it just went to waste. Honestly, the menu feels arrogantly overpriced, what avocado toast dish is pushing $30? The only thing that seemed reasonably priced was the $35 bottomless brunch. It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator. No barriers once you are upstairs and plenty of accessible outdoor and indoor/outdoor options, including a small length of wheelchair height bar. A perfectly functional though unexciting wheelchair accessible restroom is available.
