Secondly, the food. THE FOOOOOOOD. Their carrot cake is so moist and juicy that I could die right after eating it and die a happy person. They offer cute little to-go boxes for those not interested in dining inside or are on the go, as well. Annabatterie offers a variety of baked goods as well as small eats, coffee and tea, and even some alcoholic beverages. They also offer patrons a nice outdoor area, weather permitting. It is nice finding places like this in Mainz's neustadt and not littered with tourists in the old city. Either way, this place would make a killing. But it just fits better on a quiet street in the heart of a residential area. I am often in Mainz and this is my go-to place. I hope you get a chance to check it out.

This cafe is located not too far. About a ten minute walk. When Elvis turned 25 a cake was purchased from this cafe for his birthday. They still make the cake to this day. All you have to do is ask for the Elvis Birthday Cake. Very good cake. Has to be the best cake we have had in Germany over the last four years. The two girls working behind the counter were very busy but friendly. 5 stars for the cake. 3 stars for the service. 4 stars overall.
