We enjoyed a chicken parmigiana and a lasagna. Food and wine was nice but nothing outstanding. Perhaps a little on the pricey side. Service was excellent and plenty of parking available at the rear. Worth a visit if you are in the area and like Italian food.

We were quickly seated near the windows, which we requested online if they recommended it. It was relatively quiet despite the seven occupied tables, including two larger groups. Service was prompt, and the waitstaff were friendly. Our food arrived within 25 minutes of ordering, not bad for the dishes we ordered. The paella was competent, with half a Moreton Bay Bug sitting on the tasty mix of rice, chicken and chorizo. I could have asked for more chorizo and perhaps an extra minute of softening the rice, but it is good value for the price. I've come to enjoy a good paella over the years, and I'd rate this one 3/5. My wife went for the porterhouse steak, and found it more medium than the medium-rare she requested. She rates it Average yet good value. On a higher note, the desserts were very good, both the sticky date and the Toblerone cheesecake. As we were eating we thought: we really should ask what the restaurant does well, and not just go for what we think looks good on the menu. Mental note for any future restaurant visits!

Sometimes, that pays off in dividends, as is the case with Piccolino's. So, to reiterate, the decor is lovely. Really eye-catching. They sat us upstairs and we could look down on the bar and the rest of the restaurant and it was busy. The menu is great. There's a good variety of options, and the food is reasonably priced. The waitresses were all quite friendly, and most entrees came to us quite quickly. Some of the entrees took a while to come, by which time, the first people to have received theirs, were already done with theirs (a big pet peeve). All the food was delicious. There was just one unhappy diner in our group, and rightly so. The fries were COATED in salt. Practically inedible. I don't know why restaurants insist on doing this. However, everything else was practically faultless. When dessert came out slower than the steak did, they realized they simply forgot somewhere along the line to get the order in and they then got onto it fairly quickly. With that said, the Chocolate Mousse is one of the nicest I've ever, ever had. Overall, I'd really recommend Piccolino's. It's good food in a beautiful setting. The one big tip I can give you, is to definitely book online. I called several times to make a booking, and it was just too painful. They're rude on the phone and one person left me hanging to the point I heard people ordering their meals. The online booking system is a Godsend, so definitely do it that way when you plan your visit there.

Not a bad crust…read more It's not a cheap place, but a medium pizza will only set you back about $16, which isn't too bad considering what $16 will buy you these days. It's a nice place to go when you want t go ut, but don't want to go far. They do take away, but the pizza does taste better when it's eaten piping hot. The staff are nice, and the place is well set out and comfy, Dress smart casual. It's not a place where you can waltz in wearing your tracky dacks and a singlet, but you don't have to deck yourself out in a ball gown either. Other than the pizza, the pasta is good, cooked al dente, with the right amount of sauce. They also offer mains (about $30), which I haven't tried, but I don't doubt they are nice.

Food was OK ,however what was really disappointing was the order appears to have been incorrect…read more That said we did end up getting another meal after being told by one of the junior wait staff that we will not be charged for the incorrect meal. When we went to pay another senior wait staff member requested we pay half for the incorrect meal ,and later on we also noticed we were charged for a drink we never ordered. Whilst we did return and get a refund for the drink we didn't order,we were not happy at all about about paying even half for a meal that was incorrectly ordered. We simply will never ever ever eat here again under any circumstances and tell all our friends not to as well. If the right thing was done and the communication between staff was improved I probably wouldn't waste my time writing a review Greed for a few lousy dollars is never worth it however its likely nobody cares

Never again ... Not only was there a super long wait for entree (should have guessed by the comment…read morefrom the next table over who were complaining to each other that their wait was beyond ridiculous), but when it came, it was Salmon and Avocado Bruschetta and yet what it really was, was warm bread with a scraping of avocado and a slice of smoked salmon on top and a 10 year old at home could have made that equally as well. It was not restaurant quality at all. Then you had to keep your cutlery from entree and use the same ones for main. I hate that. It's lazy and cheap. When dinner FINALLY came out, most of the hunger had passed. Many tables around us who came after us, got their mains first, and there was an endless trail of take out orders leaving the kitchen. You look after your patrons IN your restaurant first. I don't even really know how four meals fit onto the table as it was an exceptionally small table and felt very cluttered. Waiters came and went and yet none took away the used glasses and asked if we wanted a new drink. Up sell, people!!! Walking around the tables all night long was the owner seeing who he could rush out the door in order to accomodate the poor fools waiting at the front not realising that they probably wouldn't get to eat until VERY late in the night. We even ordered two desserts before we finished main so that we could get a head start with it, and it STILL took over 20 minutes to come and it was liquid choc mousse in a bowl. It doesn't take 20 minutes to prepare. The whole night was unacceptably slow and non exciting and I wouldn't go back. The bright spot was that when the food DID come, it wasn't bad. I mean, other than the bruschetta, it was all ok. They made accomodations where requested and it was edible and tasty enough. But there are restaurants where you get good food AND good/quick service, and there's therefore no need to come back here again.

The flavors change every day, but they are all so good. I had a berry one once, and there was swirl of raspberry jam all the way through, it was fantastic. Definitely grab yourself a muffin from here. This bakery also stocks milk and pies.
