Last year we visited again and found the food to be very ordinary and not reflective of the prices. We raised this with the staff and were told by the owner that the chef had left without warning. Given our long history and good memories, it took us some time, but we decided to give it another chance and returned last Sunday (25/1) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sadly, the experience was very disappointing. ANTIPASTO DELLA CASA The mortadella, salami, and Wagyu bresaola were very warm, as if they had been sitting next to a fire. They were crispy and oily. We did not send it back, but we didn't eat the meats and only touched the artichokes and sides. LINGUINE MARE We had this dish in October and it was good. This time, the mussels had a strong smell. My wife took one mouthful and couldn't continue. VEAL COTOLETTA My daughter took one bite and said it was raw. After cutting further, it was clearly raw inside, as if it had just come from the butcher. We returned this dish. The waiter came back saying the chef claimed it is "normally raw near the bone." I have never heard of this. Medium or even medium-rare is acceptable, but this was raw. This restaurant used to be one of my favourites, but unfortunately it has gone downhill. It's very sad to say goodbye after so many years, but we won't be returning.

Food was OK ,however what was really disappointing was the order appears to have been incorrect…read more That said we did end up getting another meal after being told by one of the junior wait staff that we will not be charged for the incorrect meal. When we went to pay another senior wait staff member requested we pay half for the incorrect meal ,and later on we also noticed we were charged for a drink we never ordered. Whilst we did return and get a refund for the drink we didn't order,we were not happy at all about about paying even half for a meal that was incorrectly ordered. We simply will never ever ever eat here again under any circumstances and tell all our friends not to as well. If the right thing was done and the communication between staff was improved I probably wouldn't waste my time writing a review Greed for a few lousy dollars is never worth it however its likely nobody cares

Never again ... Not only was there a super long wait for entree (should have guessed by the comment…read morefrom the next table over who were complaining to each other that their wait was beyond ridiculous), but when it came, it was Salmon and Avocado Bruschetta and yet what it really was, was warm bread with a scraping of avocado and a slice of smoked salmon on top and a 10 year old at home could have made that equally as well. It was not restaurant quality at all. Then you had to keep your cutlery from entree and use the same ones for main. I hate that. It's lazy and cheap. When dinner FINALLY came out, most of the hunger had passed. Many tables around us who came after us, got their mains first, and there was an endless trail of take out orders leaving the kitchen. You look after your patrons IN your restaurant first. I don't even really know how four meals fit onto the table as it was an exceptionally small table and felt very cluttered. Waiters came and went and yet none took away the used glasses and asked if we wanted a new drink. Up sell, people!!! Walking around the tables all night long was the owner seeing who he could rush out the door in order to accomodate the poor fools waiting at the front not realising that they probably wouldn't get to eat until VERY late in the night. We even ordered two desserts before we finished main so that we could get a head start with it, and it STILL took over 20 minutes to come and it was liquid choc mousse in a bowl. It doesn't take 20 minutes to prepare. The whole night was unacceptably slow and non exciting and I wouldn't go back. The bright spot was that when the food DID come, it wasn't bad. I mean, other than the bruschetta, it was all ok. They made accomodations where requested and it was edible and tasty enough. But there are restaurants where you get good food AND good/quick service, and there's therefore no need to come back here again.

An oasis in the industrial area, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't suffer from gondola…read moresyndrome. You know, those restaurants at the head of gondolas that are always crap because you have no choice, you are a captive audience. Turns out that this place is Italian through and through - the wait staff, the wine guy, and the chefs, all as Italian as chianti. Ice cold Peronis, a good review of the menu and the swordfish special was duly chosen, served with artichokes, stuffed calamari, mashed potato and peas, it was truly a delight. The swordfish was succulent, the calamari a surprise (of the pleasant kind) and the artichokes tender. Hard to mess up mashed spud, and they didn't, it was creamy and well seasoned. Service was solicitous without being overpowering, prompt and courteous. Worth a try if in the area.

Did this place change or what! A stalwart of glen waverley dining, it never disappointed…read more But now ... 20 minutes to get a glass of mineral water to the table, let alone menus, wine lists, etc. Spaghetti over-cooked, dry and gluggy. Ms F 's duck was similarly overcooked, dry and stringy. Wines were extremely overpriced by the glass but reasonable by the bottle. Go figure. What happened to the little taste of Italy in the suburbs? Was is because it was a Monday night and they just don't care? Of has the place changed owners? Such high hopes - Ms F and I had our first date in a little corner table. But time moves on and so will we. We won't be back.
