There is nothing inspiring about Cafe Paradiso's Fairfield Muse. Their open mic is a total snooze fest. It has a long tradition of really bad hosts going all the way back to the King of Lame Keith DaBore. Keith, Andy, Jenny, Paulina, the-not-amazing-at-all Wes Brown, Eric are all quite terrible. It's not like they don't have good people to chose from-for example Jeff Shipley did a good job. But here is the thing about Cafe Paradiso, they only validate and promote mediocrity at best. Cafe Paradiso is a small venue not because it is confined to a small physical space but because it is run by people who lack vision They have very limited values and tastes in music. They are all very small minded, petty individuals who moralize and judge, or play favorites excessively which further limits what they can bring to the music scene in Fairfield. I've got to say, though a small venue can be huge in terms of value and influence, Cafe Paradiso is indeed a small, insignificant place. read more

One of the best cafe experiences I have had. When it comes to vegan friendly mochas, this is my favorite coffee place in town, a very welcoming & comfortable atmosphere + great location. I was a barista in the past and I have an appreciation for a job well done. I can say this is all around a great place to be. Armon is by far my favorite barista, he serves quality drinks along with hospitality. He has a calm demeanor with a subtle, yet generous sense of humor. I can say that each barista has their own set of gifts & they will remember your drinks after a couple of visits. The only reason for not giving 5 out of 5: Customer service & and drink quality may vary somewhat depending on who is behind the counter... also, it would be nice to see more vegan & organic food options. This coffee shop is a crossroads to everywhere. You're equally likely to see presidential candidates and conspiracy theorists, physicists, philosophers, free masons or free spirits. Half the patrons believe they can fly. Everyone eventually arrives here, even though everyone is just passing through. While you linger, there's usually good conversation, often great music, and always great coffee. You're welcome to a chair. How is it even possible to play death metal and have no uumph at all. Well what can one expect from a Ju band. The only thing scary about them is they ugly Ju beards. This is one of the first places I discovered moving to Fairfield. The atmosphere is great. Everyone is friendly, the baristas make you feel really welcome, and the biscottis are awesome! The coffee is fantastic. I like their drink the "bipolar". It's a must try! Another awesome thing about this place is the live music! I've seen more than one amazing band play here so far. I love that they have an open mic night for local artists as well. This place rules! read more

They don't have drip coffee, only americanos, but those americanos are so so good. They also use Radiance Dairy milk in everything, which is the best milk. I live in New Orleans, where I can get coffee as good as this several places, but nothing comes close to Radiance Dairy milk. When I am in Fairfield I go to Paradiso as often as I possibly can. read more

Fresh roasted, premium organic beans, and local unhomogenized organic milk. The worlds best espresso machine and grinders. And baristas trained with care. If you know and care about espresso, you've found your spot. Fresh croissants to die for. World-class music on a weekly basis, and one of the most unique open mics every Wednesday night. read more

The problem with this place is that Steve Giacomini is incredibly cheap. He thinks that since Tim Britton and Paulina are volunteering they are free. Couldn't be more wrong. I love the coffee here and make a part of my daily routine. Their carmel latte's are delicious and the croissants on Monday and Friday are great. The food on the weekends is also tasty but expect a long wait and a smoke filled room. If you like coffee it's a highly recommended stop. read more

Cafe Paradiso is infested with flies. I wouldn't trust their silverware or the food. Coffee is average at best. Staff is pompous and condescending. Music is terrible. The soundman is incompetent. read more
