The menu of crepes here is extensive- from savory sandwich-like crepes to a plethora of sweet crepes, this Creperia will satisfy any crepe lover! They must have a hundred crepes on the menu. The selection of sweet crepes ranges from a lot of different fruit varieties like kiwi or berries, to combinations with all kinds of creams, custards, and chocolate fillings. I am also impressed with the drink menu. There are a couple pages of cocktails, plus a beer and wine selection. The cocktails are WORTH IT. I got an Irish whiskey and it was so gorgeous! The bar is also very cool; they've got a lot of character with the way they've decorated this place. I highly recommend this creperia for a drink and a snack. Close to Quadrilatero d'Oro too!

If you are a regular and have it figured out, it seems to work. However, with a language barrier and being the first time here, we needed some time before we could figure out the system. There was no clear menu at the cashier, no staff to ask or a flow to follow. Everyone just seems to mill around and try to catch the attention of the servers behind the bar. If it takes a minute for you to order at the cashier, you get the distinct feeling that you are in the way and holding up the world behind you. Once we finally ordered blindly, the got our items it was a lot more relaxed. There are plenty of small and large tables, providing more than enough seats since everyone was drinking at the counter and leaving. Be forewarned that tea is ALOT more expensive than any coffee based drink. Like multiple times more expensive. Food was okay, it was enough to start the day but nothing spectacular. For the price of the items, I would much rather go somewhere less chaotic.

And then we came here morning and night for the next three nights. The food and drinks/coffee were great and reasonably priced, but the service is what sets this place apart. On our first evening here, we were into our second beverages when the owner surprised us with a small meat/cheese tray to go along with the peanuts or chips that were customary at most places throughout the Tuscany region. Even though some nights we would be the only people left, the owner would not hesitate to fire up the meat slicer (which had already been cleaned for the night) to prepare us a special snack. The owner didn't speak a lot of English (but he spoke a lot more English than I spoke Italian), but we managed just fine... and even developed a bit of a friendship. I was sad when we left Milan, in part because it meant we would no longer be starting and ending our days at the Ottolina Café.

Basically how this place works is that you buy a drink (12€ regular, 15€ large) and it comes with the buffet. There was a huge selection of drinks so there should be something for everyone. If you get the large drink, it comes in a huge cup which put us in awe. You pay once you get your drinks, which come pretty quickly. The buffet was actually delicious and a lot to choose from. Paired well with the drinks, but of course LOTS OF CARBS! My favourite was the potatoes, pizza, and little sandwich. Everything is a perfect bite size. The employees are super friendly, even though they don't have to be because they're not working for tips. They were helpful and kind. It brought a lot of ease. I told the employee serving us that she was pretty and she gave me a hug! She was so sweet (small tan skinned with curly hair).
