We loved the cheese so much on the cheese board that we got the name of it and have been searching for it in the US ever since. The cafe is located in the Stadt hotel and has an outdoor patio that gets very busy on the weekends. It has a view of the square and is great for people watching.

Plus, fresh stuff to eat right there - great toasted sandwiches and local wines to try out. The only place we want to have lunch at when we come to Merano. Plus they have an online shop (with limited delivery options, however.)
