The orange juice is far too sour. Skip that. The green juice lacked in flavor and was too lemony sour. We disliked both and for 3.80€ it's not worth it. The jungle juice was the best, but also not worth ordering. The portions are very small at a higher price. I think the price value is not the best. The service takes long. The only think that really makes this place special is their scrambled eggs. read more

I got a bad impression the first time I came here (the kitchen had closed at least 45 minutes early), which has since dissipated in the many good impressions I've had. Delicious food, nice people, comfortable ambiance - a really nice neighborhood cafe. Breakfast, lunch, freshly-squeezed juices, coffee, pastry & bread, cakes. The little salad that comes on the side is superior to most little side salads; the cold drinks have lots of ice cubes and the cubes are larger than average, so the iced lattes really are cold. You can order at the counter or sit down for table service. It is all scrumptious and the people are always nice. There's a sign by the cash register that encourages people with a clear "Be nice or go away." Every time I come I hope for pancakes as in the 10/5/2017 photograph, but have not yet seen them on in the menu. My favorite remains the waffle with strawberry compote. P.S. I was happy to find this little gem in the neighborhood. Owners are from Sydney so it has a laid back vibe with classic Aussie brunch dishes. I saw that lunch items were also available. You can basically build your own breakfast so I got two poached eggs on sourdough with bacon and avocado. I didn't realize it also came with a side salad. Everything was tasty except half my avocado was brown. Their coffee cups are more like bowls. Huge size meant I could not finish my mocha, but it sure was good. They have a nice selection of teas and coffee along with juices and smoothies. You can find healthy and indulgent meals here. There are many locals so definitely a neighborhood spot worth checking out. read more

Ohhhh I had very nice breakfast here. I ordered Bondi Breakfast which had bacon, eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, mushrooms, lettuce, bread and hollande sauce. It was very very good. The dish was big but I ate pretty much everything on the plate. The bacon was crispy yet juicy, Eggs were perfectly scrambled (you choose how you would like your eggs), and mushrooms were sauteed perfectly. I also ordered Latte and fresh squeezed orange juice, and both were good. Hope to come back again!! read more

Came here for a quick breakfast on a lovely Sunday and I was immediately greeted by the server. I appreciated the minimalistic decor, which made the place seem more modern and hip. Almost everything about this place was great, except for the food. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't bad, but for price, I definitely expected more. The orange juice (€4) was standard, and the poached eggs on the Coogie Breakfast (€12) were overcooked and rubbery. Overall, I liked this spot but there's definitely room for improvement. Came here to grab a quick breakfast based on the reviews that we saw here. You wouldn't know you were in Germany by looking at the inside. All the menu's are in English and everyone also speaks it very well. Because its close to the university it is quite a loud place filled with students either studying or working on group projects. My first Monday in Berlin: I walk in to Bondi- located just around the corner from the friend's place I'm staying in. Foreign, cold, and full of hope, my friend and I begin to peruse the menu. After ordering we took our seats by the window, ready to map out our day only to find that there was no wifi to connect to and we'd have to either go back to our apartment or, wander around Berlin aimlessly. We took the forced opportunity to get lost, thanks to cafe bondi, and we had a wonderfully frostbitten day wandering around. Everything about bondi was great but, the real reason this place will forever remain in my heart is because of the sourdough! As a San Francisco native, I thought I had the best of the best when it came to sourdough. CAFE BONDI HAS THE TASTIEST, FLUFFIEST, FLAKIEST SOURDOUGH OF THEM ALL. Just plain awesome! My dad and I stumbled upon this gem though Yelp reviews and boy we were not disappointed! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff were super nice, and the coffee was great! A couple of potential downsides is that menus were only available in English, but the staff were happy to translate for my dad (who only speaks German), and they only take cash, so make sure you don't rock up with only plastic money (i.e. credit cards or EC cards) in our pockets. It's worth the trip to the bank though! :-) Ps: If you're wondering why someone with a German-speaking dad writes a review in English, I've been living abroad for 9 years and I target my reviews toward an international audience. :-) read more

Where do the Aussies go for smashed avos in Berlin? To Cafe Bondi. I had the smashed avo with smoked salmon and my partner had the smashed avo with feta and poached egg. There was not a crumb left on our plates. Yum! The cappuccino was served without the chocolate sprinkle on top, must be a German thing. The reason why cappuccinos are called cappuccino - the speckled texture of the chocolate on top of the froth named after the chocolate texture of the cappuccine monks clothing.
