    Irish coffee

2nd time here, first time was 2017. We just had to come back for the French Onion soup & Irish coffee, perfect for a cold day, definitely recommend it, great fast friendly service

    Croque madame

A bit touristy right off the champs elysee. Best crocque madame I ever had. Service is super friendly, I knew a tiny bit of French, so thank goodness they speak English. The bad thing about sitting outside is that snickers can puff their cigarettes. Moët makes everything better. Cheers !

One of the closest restaurants around Arc de Triomphe. It was a nice experience, friendly staff and our order did not take too long on a Friday night around 7. We had the linguine pasta, angus steak and fish dish. I would suggest sitting outside to enjoy the view.

    Staff laughing about Americans
    Connie H.

Stopped by this cafe, who's menu looked appetizing. They have an assortment of nice coffees and home made desserts. I speak a bit of French and the waiter laughed at me and continued in English with my family. My husband and daughter both ordered iced coffees. They came hot. Two other American ladies came in and the same waiter and the staff in back made jokes of Americans like 'they're all movie stars.' What a jerk. So, it wasn't me and poor French. Next two families came at different times each with 5. The staff seemed to try hard to ignore them rather than seat them. Both cases the Moms walked in and were persistent. Our desserts ranged from an ok chocolate mousse to a terrific apple Carmel puff pastry a la mode and a won't have again Nutella crepe. Unless you're seeking the stereotypical rude French waiter, I'd not recommend this place for families, parties over 2, or tourists, which is a shame considering its close proximity to l'arc de triomphe. The lattes we did get were really good, or I'd give them one star.

    Scallops & veggies.

Meh. This is one of those times I wished I looked at Yelp reviews before I decided on this place. My friends and I happened to walk into Cafe de Paris simply because of it's proximity to the Arc de Triomphe and the fact that we were super hungry. What a terrible decision. Service was poor, food took forever and a day to come out and when the food did arrival, it was "OK" at best. We ordered a couple plates to share (escargot, poached eggs, etc) as well as main entrees. The restaurant was not busy by any means and everything took far too long to arrive. We probably waited a good 30-40 minutes before our actual entrees came out. I ordered the scallops with vegetables while my husband had their steak. My scallops w/ veggies were incredibly bland which was sad because they looked vibrant and delicious af on the plate. The steak seemed a bit overcooked and pretty tough to eat. We wanted to conclude our meal with some coffee but was nervous that the coffee orders would tack on another 30 minutes so we left and headed to a coffee shop instead. Overall we spent maybe around an hour or an hour and 15 at this restaurant and the majority of it was waiting for the food to arrive. Avoid if you're on a time crunch. Avoid if you're not ready to wait 30 minutes for your meal. Avoid if you're not into tourist traps. Just do yourself a favor and avoid Cafe de Paris Friedland overall.

Great service, wonderful drinks and food. Definitely a awesome place to visit. Located across from the Napoleon hotel. I say it offers a great view and it has a exterior dining location that gets great shade after 6.

Had a wonderful salad here! The capers are beautiful!!! And the staff was very warm and inviting. Is it me or is it just nicer to have a coke with a lemon in it IN Paris? Thanks for hooking this American girl up! All the best to your wonderful wait staff!

    "Good Morning" Breakfast

We had breakfast at Cafe de Paris which was in our oppinion a bit expensive (€ 11 for a coffe, a juice, some bread and jam - welcome to Paris!) Service and quality was good and the location (next to Arc Triumph) was great!

There are a few locations of Terres de Café in Paris of differing sizes and this one in Batignolles has the perfect amount of seating and cozy atmosphere to read a book or meet with friends. On weekdays it's a nice and comfortable place to work on your laptop, provided you have your own hotspot (no WiFi here), and on weekends when computers are not allowed the ambiance is much more familial and lively. The coffee is high-quality and the employees are very knowledgeable about the beans and flavor profiles. I've enjoyed all the drinks I've had here, with my usual being a simple latte. They also sell coffee beans and Nespresso pods to go. The pastry selection is typically limited to banana bread, brownies, and cookies as they are much more focused on the coffee, but I found them to be really good anyway. The staff are friendly and make an effort to get to know their regular customers, and the café is very friendly to families and children especially on weekends. The café is conveniently located in Batignolles near plenty of other shops as well as the Mairie.

Pierre Hermé If you…read moreknow Pierre Hermé from social media and all the viral videos, then this review needs no introduction. But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.
