Nice french food, good service and excellent view. The tartare, hamburger and entrecote were all very deliscious

My friend found this particular restaurant, and I'm beyond grateful. The raclette came with boiled potatoes, bread, and salad. They bring out half a wheel of cheese. The heating element heats the cheese until it's melty, and then we got to scrape it onto the potatoes and bread. OMG!! I can't even begin to describe how incredibly delicious it was. I ate sooo much and loved every bite!

It's a five-course meal served family style: salad with duck, tartiflette, fondue, raclette, and dessert. If you're a vegetarian, don't fret - there were two of us in my party and they made us a green salad to substitute for the first course and a vegetarian tartiflette for the second! It was delicious - every bit of it. I've been to a few other fondue restaurants in Lyon but this place has the best cheese and the most delicious potatoes I've ever eaten. For dessert, I recommend the ice cream. Every flavor is fantastic! You should definitely call ahead, especially if you have a group. Les Marmottes is kind of small so it's hard to get a table without a reservation. That being said, last night we called around 22H30 and they were able to accommodate us at 23H30. We had fifteen people in our group. The waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful, (they always are,) and made our experience a positive one. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a serious cheese-covered meal in Lyon.

The salade lyonnaise was incredible, with lardons and a perfectly cooked egg. The mustard dressing was excellent. The boeuf bourguignon was very tender, almost as good as my mother's. The saucisson crouté was excellent with a sauce I can't describe because it was so unique. The calabaza-topped potatoes were tasty. The soup a l'oignon was very good as well, excellent with the good bread they provided. All in all, a great experience. We were very grateful that they admitted us at such a late hour (10 o'clock is quite late for these bouchons, apparently!), so I must leave 5 stars. Thanks guys!
