Although this area is pretty close to the Champs-Elysees it is not nearly as touristy and you get way more of a local vibe. We were looking for a place to have some brunch and this was the perfect spot. Our server actually spoke perfect English and was incredibly nice. The prices here are very reasonable and they also have a full bar. The wife went with the quiche and it was absolutely massive, definitely big enough to share. It was delicious and light as well. I went with more of a lunch option and had the scallops. I opted for a salad instead of the potatoes gratin and it was a perfect delicious light lunch. Overall this was one of my favorite meals in Paris. The place is very casual with nice ambiance. The food was awesome and not expensive and lastly we had incredible service. I would highly recommend if you are in the area.

The inside of the restaurant was a bit dark and stuffy, so we opted to sit outdoors on the much livelier patio. Plus, nothing beats sitting outside at a Parisian cafe while people watching and sipping a coffee. Speaking of the coffee, it was fantastic. A bit pricey at 4 euro for a small cup, but was still some of the best coffee that I had all trip. It was the perfect boost that I needed to kick start day 1 in Paris after a grueling red eye flight with a layover in Iceland. But enough about layovers in Iceland and on to the eats. The croque monsieur here was pretty damn perfect. A thick hearty piece of bread smothered in swiss cheese and ham. So simple, yet so tasty. The sandwich also came paired with fries and a small side salad. Once again, definitely pretty $$$ at something like 11 euros for the sandwich, but I knew that was what to expect in this area. If insane hunger wasn't calling, I probably would have preferred my first meal in Paris to be somewhere a little more authentic and a little less overpriced. But, this was still a solid place to grab a satisfying meal. And when that satisfying meal is smothered in cheese and taking place on an outdoor patio in Paris then you really can't go wrong.
