I really enjoyed this bakery with a sit down tea room in back. It'll transport you back in time, when shops took pride in its atmosphere, from decor to service. Cakes are made perfectly, especially the ones with whipped cream (light & airy). I particularly enjoyed the hazelnut cream cake (highly recommend). Don't expect their cakes to be as sweet as in Paris, Vienna, or in the states. They definitely lean towards less sugar, similar to what you find in Japan. Instead of icky sweet, enjoy it as a lighter version to compliment your coffee, tea, or in my case...hot chocolate. I'm told it's one of the oldest bakeries. Definitely worth a stop, even if taken to go. After 4 weeks in this town, I've been to this bakery the most often. It's got a charm that newer bakeries lack. ps, Star cinnamon cookies sold in bags on glass case are definitely worth getting! But eat quickly, they're best on the first day, then starts getting hard.

The food is fantastic! We went on a busy day and still didn't feel ignored or burdensome. Our waiter (Erdal) was a boss. He was insanely busy, but was polite and has a great memory. Will definitely come back, hopefully when it's less busy. I got the Käsefrühstück and my husband got the Bauernfrühstück. We both loved our meals.

Having a blast during our breakfast!

Super fancy there, the service outstanding, the food super yummy and very friendly staff!! We love going there for breakfast!!! Our favorite breakfast place in Wiesbaden, hands down :))

This is one of the nicest Konditerei in the entire Frankfurt area. They have an amazing selection of cakes and pastries. I've had most of the cakes and they are always fresh, never dry or stale as can be the case with some places with a large selection. The service has always been good as well- they are efficient and patient behind the counter helping you pick your cakes. We usually sit outside when possible; the outdoor seating area is nice, and inside they have nice old-school cafe decor. I think the cafe has existed in this location since before WWII. I highly recommend this place!

Went here for brunch with friends one morning and had a pretty good experience. We all ordered the crepes which were delicious. We also ordered the bread/meat/cheese stands which were very fresh. Coffee was excellent as it usually is in Germany. Will probably be back sometime to try more!

We had a nice lunch here on a Sunday when not much is open. Our server was nice, the food was good, and the have outdoor seating. We were happy until later when we noticed that we were charged almost 5 euros for a glass of Merlot that we didn't have.

Waiting to serve us at Café Maldaner, Wiesbaden.

Great service and the variety of mini cakes I purchased for my birthday were really good.

Uneven service depending who is at bar. The young ladies is delightful and some may even recall…read morewhat you had yesterday and offer you the same. They are cheery and go the extra mile while there is a mustachioed older gentleman who seems grandfathered in to the place. Zero customer service, he responds gruffly if you ask a question. He refused me soy milk when I saw clearly there was several containers at breakfast. Also his service was painfully slow while we were the only ones in the cafe at that time. Ugh. But it's the cafe for the hotel and no other convenient option. although the pastries look good, make sure the apple strudel is Cooke well on the bottom crust ... Not my favorite experience at a five star establishment but they try to make up for blunders with small compensation and most do have a pleasant attitude to the guests. The restaurant is slow as molasses the food is well played and delicious to taste and look at. It is pricey but commensurate with the hotel status.

They also have a nice selection of cheeses, meats (salami, horse, blood sausages) and muesli. On a separate table they have hot containers full of bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. There is also a section of fresh breads that you can eat whole or you can cut a piece off using the bread knife. Make sure you grab some nutella and/or some of the amazing jams they have out: strawberry, raspberry, orange, sour cherry and more! The service is great as well; if you want something they don't have laid out on the buffet they can make it for you: pancakes, poached eggs etc, they will do it for you. Oh and their coffee is great and they make a bomb cappuccino =D
