She told me what they do and that a contract is not required. She did say they request you do at least 2 quarters. The price was comparable. I was charged $99 for the first visit, which included inside and outside treatment. Next quarter, it will be $99 they will spray outside, but if you have some issues inside, let them know. They will address it. The tech, Michael, was nice and professional. He gave me an overview of what he did and gave me some information on other services they offer. I may switch over my termite bond next year to them.

Jared King has expanded from just himself to a team of people, and we have been SO excited to watch him grow! We are signed up for the quarterly service and it is an incredible value for what we pay. Four times a year, they show up to treat the exterior. We receive a text message from Inspire at least a couple of days before they arrive, so if we need to reschedule, we can easily call or text to do so. Also, if we need interior treatment, the text message they send helps us to coordinate who will stay home for pest control to come in. If you have any issues between those times, or need extra sticky traps in the garage (like us), just call or text and Inspire will make sure you are covered. Jerek came to our home last Wednesday and took great care of us. We did not need interior treatment this time, so he got the outside and in our garage for us. His customer service was top notch. Which is no easy feat for this property. He has an electronic moisture checking system, and he used it to get reading all over the house. In every room. Luckily for us, the mold is not a health issue, and we can take care of it ourselves. He took lots of pictures and is sending us a report. He even came with me to talk to the tenant. After researching the part online, I found the replacement cartridge available for less than $75. It appears to be a 30-minute job. I asked the supervisor for a breakdown of the cost between labor and material. He said that they don't give a breakdown. They appear to be hiding their labor cost, which seems to be very high. I wouldn't let the technician do the job and pay an $80 fee for the visit.

He briefly touched the faucet handle and tapped the wall, then asked to inspect the plumbing from the basement. About 20 minutes later, he returned with a legal pad and handed me a quote: approximately $1,700. The estimate included installation of shutoff valves in the basement -- completely unrelated to the original problem. Naturally, I declined and asked if he was going to address the leaking faucet, since that was the purpose of my call and I needed to resume my day. His response? "That's my quote. That's what I see needs to be done." At that point, I politely asked him to leave. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I was furious -- not only did he refuse to address the issue I called about, but he did so with an arrogant tone. I will never use Standard Heating, Cooling & Plumbing again, and I'll make sure others are equally informed. And yes, I still had to pay the $80.00 visit fee, despite the fact that he tried to inflate a minor repair into a major project I didn't ask for or need. I couldn't help but think: if I were a senior citizen, he might've had a field day. That's unacceptable.
