It was quite late on in the afternoon so unfortunately most of the tearooms around the town were closed.... This little lucky find down a quaint side street was still open for business!! We all had tea and a slice of their delicious bakewell tart!! Their selection of other tarts and cakes also looked amazing but "when in rome"!! There was also food menu with a selection of tapas and sandwiches and an interesing menu of Novus branded teas which sounded great! The cafe is also connected to a little gift shop so you can roam around when awaiting ur tasty sweet treats to be served!

The stationary range is adequate, but over priced and most items are available cheaper within the same part of town. The DVD and Games are located upstairs, which is an impossiblilty if you have a pram or wheelchair, although I am sure the staff would endeavor to help. The availabilty of games and consoles is limited. The snacks they stock are again over priced, but are reduced when near the end of shelf life to a very reasonable price.

This was a really cool museum, though a bit depressing. When we paid for admission, they gave us…read morebracelets with convict numbers so we could find who we were in the past. I was a local hero who robbed married men; my boyfriend stole some curtains. We looked through punishments and torture devices, some we could even try out ourselves! We read blurbs about various convicts. We stumbled into some actors, some who were better at acting than others, not to single the cheese mongrel out or anything. There's so much information, it's easy to get lost in the museum. By the end, it can get a bit dreary. Plus, the museum is SO cold, as if the ghosts of the tortured prisoners were still trapped there. We missed the live trial which would have been cool to witness but there were some interactive bits throughout that would be fun for kids! All in all, I recommend if you're interested in the history of how humans mistreated other humans.
