We called to confirm acct is closed and a really nice and helpful rep named Sarah was able to assist. Thank you Sarah for being better than Linda.

I was frustrated that I didn't see any past history of my payments with their new online payment system via InvoiceCloud about a month ago. The girl couldn't stand my frustration and she hung up on me. The RUDEST one I've encountered. Lesson learned to never check e-statement. You would want to have paper statement. 2. I called another time to see if they could check/fix my water pressure being too high. They say they can check but they can't fix the water pressure valve. And today I saw on their website that they have this no-cost program for residences with above 80psi. I am not happy at all. I already paid $800+ for a new PRV. Customer service for CVWD need to learn what programs our district CVWD is offering. I normally check their websites. I'm not sure why at that time I didn't, and decided to "trust" their customer service's knowledge instead. My mistake again. 3. And... of course their rates just keeps on climbing higher and higher without residence's consent. My monthly bill (with 2 months combined) is higher than my bi-monthly bill. Hmm... I wonder what they're trying to mislead... But that's something everyone already knew... Sometimes I feel that we need more choices instead of a monopoly controlling our utilities.

What makes Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District the worst is that they brag on their website that 2% to 5% of their customers get their service interrupted (water shut off) each month. That is approximately 13 to 15 thousand people each month have their water shut off. Why you might ask. So that they can charge a $500 deposit. See public utilities are supposedly regulated on what they can charge in California. But deposits and fines are not regulated. So when ever EVMWD needs extra revenue they start sending out shut off notice no matter if you are late or not. when you try to pay online the deposit and fines are already added to your bill before the date of shut off. You have to go into their office to pay and explain you are not late. It's should be illegal for them to do that. It's an addition 6 to 7 million dollars extra revenue for them. They know what they are doing. It's a scam because they are systematically forcing so many people into being late. Then the customers are forced into paying over a $1000 dollars to get their service turned back on. They love to send these notices at the end of the year right before the holidays. It's a big money grab and they should be investigated for this. They will say they are regulated by the Public Utility Commission. But that is only on what they can charge for their water and sewer rates. Not whether they are engaging in predatory practices by forcing customers into default.
