Came late, around 3pm, better come a bit earlier. You can bring BBQs and chairs or sit in one of the cafes on the beach. Just off the N-332, street parking available.

Plus there are a few nice bars and cafes near by to refuel. Although never look forward to the walk up the hill to get home at the end of the day!

It's fun and free :) Wooden stations to get down into water. Also - a long strip of land between two salty lagoons, great place for walks and runs. Parking close to the lagoon can be difficult (free). Other names of the same place: Las Charcas, Baños de Lodo, Baños de Lodo de lo Pagan, Las Charcas de San Pedro del Pinatar, Las Charcas de lo Pagan, Mud Baths of San Pedro del Pinatar. Amen

Your plan here should be: swim, sunbathe, have a beer at The Sands, repeat. The La Mata main square is just around the corner. Outdoor seating with views to the La Mata tower. Visited around 2pm. I will go here again in the evening, they have karaoke :)

It's a really clean, soft, yellow-sand beach. Long and wide. The ocean is pretty warm in summer and most parts are public. Best to bring your own gear, even though there are several places to rent an umbrella and chairs. Several showers are lined up along the beach to clean yourself from the sand and salty water after your dip. Around lunchtime there isn't much action, due to the hot sun. Later in the afternoon it gets more crowded....but nowhere near packed. It's a really nice and relaxing beach, not much noise, no watersports. Nice to just lay back or have a walk with your feet in the water. Along the road there are lots of free parking lots. Which is great to still see free lots nowadays. Beautiful Beach. We loved it
