this is actually for Jonas hill inpatient but attached to the same company…read more Do not come to this absolute disaster of a place if you are needing mental health care. Well unless if you're homeless and smear your own poop on the walls... then I guess you'll fit right in. They refused to follow the law when my partner asked for the 72 hour evaluation release form. At first the social worker Kim said she never requested it, when we requested it at check in at the ER, then again after they strip searched them, and then finally when I threatened with lawyers to bring it out and let her sign it during visitation hours. She then proceeded to question why would they want to sign these papers when they get here... she then went to "check" and then came back and told me that the papers were presented to them but they refused to sign them... when I said that's nonsense she said well when she came in she wasn't in her right mind so how would she know. This sent me into an absolute RAGE. This all made sense after I get to the next part of the story. They didn't spend anytime diagnosing my partner for the real illness they just blanket drugged them up with five medications. Medications that actually HURT someone and induce psychosis in someone with their condition. It's almost like they wanted my partner to stay ill... which made sense when I spoke with Bryan Robinson. If this man is on yours or your loved ones "care team" request someone else, or ask for your conversations to be recorded. We read reviews online and this man's name popped up with another review of someone saying that Brian lied about what was said in his weekend check in, which lead to them staying there longer. After speaking with him I believe it. This man's first comment to me was "I don't do discharges on the weekends" when in fact that weekend there was someone who was discharged... this man spent the time he was supposed to be evaluating my partner, actually arguing with them and trying to make them retract their request for the 72 hour evaluation form that was just signed. Comments like do you know what this form is?, why do you want to sign it? You know that this doesn't mean you will leave in 72 hours the doctors all here decide when you leave, why would you ask to sign this if you came here for help. Such disgusting behavior for someone who is supposed to have yours or your loved one's life in their hands. What a power trip. It all made sense when I started digging in and asking more questions of the staff. There was a homeless person that checked in AFTER my partner who was smearing his own poop on the walls. This person was released a day before my partner... when I was there for visitation a nurse laughed and said "well yeah that's because y'all have good insurance and he doesn't, we turn those people loose asap". UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE The worst part about all of this was they claimed the need to keep my partner longer when I brought all this up was because they "changed their medicine" and needed to monitor them. So when they finally did discharged them, they only sent them home with 2 of the five medications they were giving them the entire time they were in patient. Which if you know anything about mental health medications you can't just STOP cold turkey. it can send you into physcosis. It's almost like they were wanting to set my partner up for failure. When I brought all this up to UNC administration they decided to do an investigation... of course they "investigated themselves and they did nothing wrong and provided adiquit care" but the best part... THE BEST PART... they sent this letter of their investigation with the WRONG NAME It wasn't even my partners name at the top of the letter...so how can you say you investigated anything when you couldn't even get the name at the top of the letter right. This place is an absolute joke and I would never recommend this place. They said they were sorry for not presenting the 72 hour form when my partner and I requested it, they "retrained staff", they said Brian was just trying to make sure my partner "understood the form they were signing" and didn't mean to intimidate them, which is funny because when he called me at my request he was an absolute power trip and incredibly unprofessional. So I believe my partner. If you made it this far I'm glad. Don't go here for help. Simple as that.

I didn't wanna leave because we got a lot of peace there. now it's been between 15 to nearly 20 years ago and I need medical records for Disability and my therapist, but I was told today that based on the information given, nobody had been there by that name, which makes no sense to me. They did put my ex-husband's last name, but it still has the same Social Security number birthdate so I don't understand I would rather them be honest about not finding my records then to just say I've not been there that really me! that makes me look like a liar and I have proof from Spruce Pine Hospital that I have been to Broughton several times because that's where I was initially considered involuntary commitment and then they sent me to several times so if you're reading this, beware if you go there you better be very specific about them. Keep your records safe because it might be a very important piece! Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about Broughton They were really great to me! I would've put five stars but instead I put four only because our records are important and so is our word and when we're telling some very important people that we've been somewhere and that place says you haven't it's scary what that could do!

This hospital used to be known as "Grace Hospital." It is now known as "UNC Health Blue Ridge." I…read moreremember passing by it when I was younger, and also knew friends that had been born here, but never had been inside or had to utilize their services until yesterday when my husband was transported here via ambulance and admitted overnight. I was actually surprised at how beautiful the interior of this hospital is, how cozy, how- large! It is definitely well kept up. My husband's stay was incredible. From the moment he got a room, the nurses welcomed me, and even told me to stay with him all night. They offered me a guest meal to eat with him, and told me I could even shower if I needed to! I almost felt like I was the patient too! The staff as a whole are really welcoming, full of love and southern hospitality- as they should be. Sadly a lot of hospitals lack staff who deliver top quality and compassionate care. When we left today, my husband and I officially decided that we will be choosing this hospital when I give birth. Catawba and Frye have absolutely nothing on the comfort and care that this hospital does. I never planned on going back to either one of those wretched places, but after this experience, THIS will be our GO TO hospital for any procedures, emergencies, (or babies!) I speak so highly specifically of the top notch care he received from the nurses. However, there are only 4 stars posted here for a reason because just like any other medical establishment, I do have a few negatives I'd like to mention as well.... Communication. Communication issues between the rotating staff, communication issues between the doctors and the nurses, and communication between the patients and the staff. 1. Rotating staff. After every shift was over, the next nurse to come in wasn't always given a "summary" of what they needed to do, and some kind of seemed lost. I feel like the team leaving to go home should be leaving notes for the new employees arriving to work, because they do see new patients every day, and that's a bit of an organizational problem. This wasn't a huge issue, but I noticed a little bit of this going on. Nurses acting confused until we, the patients, updated them. 2. Doctors. The doctors do not communicate unless the nurses reach out to ask. For example, I had already looked at my husband's endoscopy results and bloodwork 2-3 hours before a doctor even spoke with us. I already knew what was wrong. I was never once showed photos, or shown bloodwork or anything. I had to read it myself. My husband went back for his endo, and I was told that when he was in recovery, they'd call me back. They never did. So, when I seen it on the screen that he was in recovery, I asked to go back, and the women behind the desk at the outpatient surgery told me to sit down and wait for the doctor to call me back. They never did! The lady that brought him into pre-op had to come get me from the lobby, and was shocked that nobody told me- MY HUSBAND WAS ALREADY OUT OF RECOVERY AND BACK IN HIS ROOM! This made me so angry, because Turkish is my husband's first language and he prefers to have me with him at all times if possible, just in case I need to translate for him. I explained this to the women behind the desk, and they didn't seem to care. I made it back to his room and he was wide awake wondering where I was that whole time! This was his first "surgery" and he expected to wake up with me next to him. Communication problems. 3. Us. If I didn't have any background knowledge in the medical field, I would have been completely clueless as to what was going on. I was never given test results, I was never given pictures of the endoscopy, I was never explained anything. I had to pull my husbands chart and read / compare his blood results (they were drawing every 6 hours because he had lost a lot of blood and were taking it every 6 hours to make sure that his levels weren't dropping more. We didn't talk to a doctor. I had diagnosed him before any staff member! When they walked in, I said "I already know, even though I know you won't explain it well, I know. Discharge us." If the communication between literally everyone would improve just a bit, I think this place deserves 5 stars! The frustration was with the doctors, not the nurses. The nurses did their best to make everyone comfortable and relay information as I asked. The doctors don't seem to want to listen, and seem as if they already have their own ideas and are set in their ways. At least, the doctors we seen. I say I'd love to deliver here, because I will have a midwife and my OB. A doctor I know and trust, in a relaxing and caring environment. I hope the communication will improve!

This Hospital wants emergency room staff this Hospital should be closed immediately for gross…read moremedical neglect and complete inability to correctly diagnose and treat my problem. I was brought by ambulance after a slip and fall in a Lowe's parking lot in Morganton North Carolina because I could not drive home to Florida I was having double and quadruple vision and falling asleep at the wheel while I was driving. Rather than address the obvious is that I had a severe concussion and should not have been released and most definitely should not be on the road driving anywhere at any time until the symptoms have been treated and cleared up. I was not even spoken to about having a concussion I knew what it was because I have heard about the symptoms although I've never had one but I have also never had the experience of falling asleep at the wheel repeatedly and seeing double and quadruple Vision was complete inability to focus. I had to look up the symptoms on Google because they did not address this at all because the staff did not want to bring it up that there was evidence of a severe blow to the back of my head, the test said everything was normal except a large mass on my right lung which was also ignored, they did nothing to investigate why or advise me even of things to watch for for symptoms of a concussion. To anybody that is medical neglect and incompetence this hospital to be closed immediately if that's the kind of treatment that people have received and indeed from other reviews it's clear that they are not capable of properly diagnosing and treating anyone. I will be following up with North Carolina officials on the closing of this hospital it should not be accepting patients or even testing or treating them. The staff were disrespectful towards me because I don't have a Southern accent and several of them inquired where I was from and although I was born in Jacksonville Florida I was educated up north in New Jersey and New York. I am still having these severe symptoms and it has taken me 3 days To Go less than 200 miles because I have to keep pulling over cuz I'm falling asleep at the wheel because of the concussion. They did not even mention the word there is nothing on my paperwork regarding possibly having had a concussion and do that they should not be open and so-called treating anybody not even a dog. I understand now why they have so many really bad reviews this place is criminal in their treatment, and if I should fall asleep at the wheel and cause an accident they are the direct cause because I should never have been released in that condition that I am in. I have never ever witnessed this level of severe medical incompetent and outright neglect of addressing a real problem. My time spent there was a complete and utter waste of time and money do not go anywhere near this facility, they should be locked up for criminal neglect and complete incompetence. If I could give this so-called Hospital emergency room negative 100 Stars that's what they deserve. The only way they could improve is to completely replace all the neglectful ending confidence staff members every one of them. The doctor did not even identify herself as the doctor, and it was obvious she did not graduate anyone near the top of her class. To have released me a patient to be driving on the highways back to Florida knowing full well themselves that I had received a concussion from the severe fall I had is 100% a criminal act. I can't say enough bad things about the treatment or lack of treatment I received there. They were trying to cover their butts by saying every test was normal oh but by the way miss, you have a large mass on your right lung. There was absolutely no follow-up testing to find out why, all I know is that my entire right side of my rib cage is hurting so bad and they did not even treat the pain they were completely useless, neglectful, and completely and utterly incompetent they should not be open to the public at all. The large mass on my right lung, it could have been blood bleed, it could have been cancer. But I do know that that large mass was not on there a week ago because I had just had a chest x-ray in preparation for Planned surgery in May. They told me about it but they did nothing and I do mean nothing to investigate or do any testing any further and as far as I am aware it could still be bleeding. Medical malpractice does not describe the lack of care I received there not even close

When moving here I was actually afraid of seeing a new Dr. But my parents come here as well and they like her. I have to say everyone seems friendly and nice to deal with. When you go in they check your temp before you walk to the back. Then check your weight and bring you in a room and does your BP. You never have to wait long before the Dr comes in. I have to say Everytime I have been here between her and the nurse practitioner that I have seen they are very thorough and professional. They don't make it a dreaded place to go. The Dr. Always rules out other things before just assuming and treating you. I felt like a guinea pig now in Vegas Everytime I went they "assumed" or thought you had something without going the extra mile. I actually never thought I'd like a Dr as much as I did the ones I had but here I am happy and glad I came here so far. I also like when you need to be seen you can make a appointment or walk in to see the Dr. or Pa On call and your records stay in the same place. If your looking for a new Dr. Come here!

Iredell Compliant-…read more On Saturday February 14, 2026, I rushed my daughter Paulina C. Foy to Iredell Memorial Hospital after she was demonstrating symptoms of a seizure and measured a rectal temperature of 104.9. En route to the hospital, I called the emergency room to advise of the emergent situation and to further expedite expected triage services. Upon arrival, there was a back flow of patients and no sense of urgency when triaging. None of the patients in line where actively dying or displaying symptoms that warranted ambulatory services. My daughter is 8 months old and cannot advocate for herself to warrant emergent signs such as chest pain, stoke etc. The checkin station operated in a similar of the bureaucratic system; "Department of Motor Vehicles "DMV". "First come first serve". Merriam Webster states that triage means "the sorting of and allocation of treatment to patients and especially battle and disaster victims according to a system of priorities designed to maximize the number of survivors". Based off the definition, Iredell Memorial Hospital failed to comply with the "Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act" (EMTLA). I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the medical administration and medical staff. In addition to the EMTLA violation, I would like to address that they violated the "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act" (HIPPA) when escorting me to a room #2 that already had a patient in it. One of the male staff advised that he was under the impression that I needed to breastfeed which further proves my point of negligence and incompetence. This further delayed my daughter getting the treatment she is entitled to. I had to call the ambulance to get her emergency services that are supposed to be available at the emergency room. The confirmed her seizure which could have lead to further complications, had I not acted in the manner that I did.
