Their waiting room is nice and they have a charging station for all of your electronic devices. I would definitely recommend! My provider was Stephanie Walker, FNP. I really liked her a lot and found that she was knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Her medical team of nurses and assistants took their time to listen to my needs every time I came in for a visit. **Of note, I just stopped by to gather some medical records and was informed that she no longer works there and instead moved to a new location in the area. This is not really a concern for me, given my flexibility with medical providers, though I find it a little odd I was not informed of this prior to her move... Also, I know others who become really attached to providers and might find this seriously upsetting. Maybe they attempted to reach out by phone or email or mail, but I didn't receive anything?

The appointment was very easy to make, the reception desk young man very pleasant, the nurse who did the triage was caring professional and understanding. So far it was the treatment we've come to expect from this health system as we've been patients for over a decade., and it certainly lived up to our expectations. Dr McCracken came in in a reasonable time did the perfunctory exam left the room came back to tell us about meds he was prescribing. He was just a satisfactory physician, though I'd have preferred he didn't breeze through the exam (the waiting room was empty and stayed that way during the entirety of our visit so he wasn't rushing to the next patient.) My particular issue is with the summary of the visit which we are privy to. He summed me up as an "overweight elderly ill woman". Now, though I fancy myself as my 20 something active trim self I AM in fact carrying those extra pounds at 70 years old...NOTHING that would put me at the overweight limit. I eat healthfully, exercise daily and take great care with my appearance. This is not a vanity issue but I have dealt with food issues and eating disorders since my early teens. Reading this could have nearly sent me to a spiral but I'm strong now. What if it was in the chart if a young girl dealing with the same? Now that records are available I would suggest that this medical provider brush up on his people skills. You may be younger Dr McCracken but 70 is NOT elderly anymore.

Previous doctors dismissed her pain, denied requested ablation / hysterectomy options and just flat out didn't believe her level of pain. Her first visit with Dr. Womack, she was validated, was given a first course of action plan and a back up plan if that didn't work. We could not be more pleased with her level of care and the care from the hospital staff. Though I'm not directly a patient, I can say my daughter gives Dr.Womack the highest praises. As her mother, I'm so grateful that she was cared for and given a plan of action to get her life back. Highly recommend - especially if you have complicated female health concerns.

Dr. Placentra will throw antibiotics at you without even blinking and is always checking his watch for time. He is disrespectful and even walked out on me one time because I asked him why he wouldn't try to find out whats really wrong with me or even point me in the direction of where to go, like a specialist. I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I came in with a severe headache that had…read morelasted several days and was feeling light-headed at times. After being taken back, my temperature and blood pressure were checked and I was told they wanted to do flu and COVID tests. The nurse performed both swabs in the same nostril at the same time, and they were done very quickly and did not seem thorough. After that, I was told another staff member would be in shortly, but no one came. I waited alone in the room for about 30 minutes with no updates. When I stepped out to ask how much longer the test would take, the response I received felt dismissive and unprofessional. When someone finally returned, the exam was very brief. A flashlight was shined in my ears, I was asked how much Tylenol I was taking, and I was told to take more and buy Sudafed. No clear diagnosis was given. After spending over an hour there with minimal evaluation, I decided to leave and went to another urgent care in Blowing Rock. At that clinic, I received a thorough evaluation, was diagnosed with a sinus infection, and was prescribed an antibiotic and steroid, which addressed my symptoms. I understand urgent cares can be busy, but the lack of communication, limited exam, and dismissive attitude made this experience very frustrating and concerning. Do not recommend.
